Absolutely delicious!
Mexican Moose has become one of my go-to spots in Missoula. The tacos are packed with flavor and taste super fresh, especially the carne asada and the barbacoa. I really appreciate the late night hours and the friendly service every time I’ve gone. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the homemade salsas are (watch out for the red one, it’s spicy!). Highly recommend checking them out if you’re craving authentic, no frills Mexican food.

We go here occasionally, great atmosphere since they got a brick & mortar location downtown, great food truck prior to that. Bro & sis cooking team kicks butt at rush times, love the food & authentic culture & cuisine of the owner-operators, but it is pricey. Operating in Missoula is expensive but if you have the money, this is the best Mexican sit-down in town!

OK so being from California there has always been one thing missing when I visited Montana that was authentic Mexican food and especially street tacos. I have to say the family that owns Montana Mexican Moose nails it. So if you have a craving or miss Southern Cali. Or Baja do yourself a favor stop by. And for some of the reviews that say the red sauce is too hot. If your not use to authentic Mexican food then maybe for you. But for those that know it is spot on very flavorful with the right amount of heat. The Carne asada was tender flavourful extremely good. Not no Okie ground beef with lettuce tacos here. Thank you again will see you on the next trip.

Really good tacos and friendly service. These are street taco style so not huge servings but good flavor. 5 stars if they had a little bigger menu. Lengua tacos or even some guacamole would be a welcome addition.

We ordered 2 burrito supremes.. they were cold, they didn’t have any sour cream on them, overloaded with onion.. no cheese and minimal beans.. for 27.00 it definitely was not the quality I was expecting..

I ordered the carne asada tacos my first round here and was SO disappointed in the lack of flavor, presentation, and all around food experience. I just door dashed (giving a second chance) the carne asada nachos, carne quesadilla, and rice and beans and was proven once again that this isn’t authentic Mexican food. Yowza, no seasoning not even salt no nothing. Won’t be back to order here again.

These are the most authentic mexican tacos in Missoula. There’s a reason there’s often a line at the food truck – great tacos. To the people who wrote that it’s too spicy or whatever, this isn’t texMex and you can ask for not spicy. I imagine that those who left bad reviews haven’t been to a taco truck in Mexico, or even California for that matter. As for Montana, we’re lucky to have this one!
