The smothered steak chimichanga is amazing. The smothered chicken Chimi was delicious and tender too. We also had queso w/chips. Delicious. Beans and rice nothing to write home about but the rest has all been fantastic. Second time here, will be back again.

Highly disappointed, went out tonight for takeout, I ordered a chimichanga, was not what I expected. Also only got 4 chips in my box. It had some weird orange sauce on it when I expected a white cheese sauce. It didn’t taste too bad but I will not be going back

Used to go here 3 times a week for lunch, they took the potatoe meal off the menu. I would have paid 5 extra bucks for it to stay on the menu. Then after they got new cook and server the chimi i got was burnt in every aspect. Tortilla meat queso all burnt. Figured we would try again yesterday and was told only mr teriaki was open monday tuesday and wednesday. No signs stating mexicalli was closed. Unfortunate miss the old mexicalli

Food was average at best, service took FOREVER at every interval, and the atmosphere is scary/subpar. Everything is so “meh” and completely uninspired… it still looks like the shitty Hells Angels hangout that the building used to be. Ultimately, I don’t think I would ever willingly choose to go here again

Food was so good we had the menudo, burrito supreme, consomé de barbacoa, asada fries and kids hamburger. My first time here and we loved it. Service was great as well really liked the atmosphere.
