First time ever stopping here. Was heading home from work stopped in cause I love Mexican food and seen it so it was a spur of the moment and definitely happy and glad the hubby and I did. We were greeted with happiness and great customer service. We weren’t rushed to order was given all the time we needed. And the food came came out in a timely manner and was excellent and got a decent amount of food for the price of eat item. I got the burrito plate it was $16 i believe. Hubby got the 2 chimichangas plate and that was also $16 I believe. And got chips and pico was $6 I believe and then we each got a can of coke it was $2 a can. Pricing was decent and food was delicious would recommend to anyone wanting to try a new Mexican spot or that just loves Mexican food in general.

We ordered the MEX fries with steak (our favorite) and a large horchata, now don’t get me wrong this place you will spend a bit of money, it’s no food truck, but tell me a Mexican restaurant like this that you don’t spend similar money? Exactly!
However with the treatment and speed from the staff this place stands out, the fries and all food is always fresh, the sauces are always full, the staff is always super fast and friendly!
My wife and I love this place (especially since we both work close by) and can’t get enough! Seriously! Keep up the good work guys!

We ordered a chicken protein bowl. Chicken bland and no flavor at all just a little spice. We also ordered a birria burrito there was no bean spread on the inside like it says in the description and all the food was cold. You can tell by how the cheese didn’t even melt in the burrito and is still in shreds. This order was to go so it would have had plenty of time to melt. The price we paid I expected better and for it to at least have been hot to start with. This was our first and last time ordering from here.

Second time here. The first was very shortly after they opened and there was an issue with the meat in one of the food items (which was quickly resolved by the owner). This time we were there on Taco Tuesday and there was a good selection of tacos for $2. I enjoyed all of mine – steak, chicken and ground beef on corn tortillas. The sauce/salsa at the tables were great and added flavor. We shared the waffle fries which had great seasoning and texture. Family member had the birria ramen and liked the meat and noodles, but wasn’t a huge fan of the broth. If you buy a drink that comes in the plastic cups you can bring the cup back for a discount. We will definitely be back to try some more items.

Mexican Avenue is one of my favorite spots for Mexican food. My go-to dish is the quesabirrias, and they never disappoint. Full of flavor, well prepared, and always satisfying.
I also love that they carry Jarritos sodas. I just wish they had the guava flavor too , but the selection they have is still great.
The prices are very affordable, especially for the quality and portions you get. Everything on the menu tastes really good, and you can tell the food is made with care.
On top of that, the service is excellent. Friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely a place I keep coming back to and highly recommend.

I’ll start off by saying the service was amazing. But have you ever overpaid so much for mid food that you drove home in complete silence because you’re in disbelief on how much you just paid? 65 bucks for 2 people is absolutely insane considering the portion sizes you get. Realistically should have been around $40. Value could have been added if they were to load the plate with rice/beans but you only receive 2 small dishes. The food did come out fast. But the price is what ruined it for me.

We were looking for a place to eat and ran across Mex Avenue, they didn’t disappoint! The food was so delicious!! I got the Birria tacos, and they were juicy, and bursting with flavor. The beef enchilada was seasoned so well and melted in your mouth. The beans and rice were good too. We ordered dragon fruit margaritas, blended so well. You can keep your margarita cups and bring them back for a discount price when you order another margarita. The guy at the counter was a big help going over the menu with us this is our first time here I recommend this place. The staff was great. I had a couple of staff to come to check on us and ask how we were doing. There’s not a lot of seating in inside, there are picnic tables outside for when it’s warmer.

I came on a Friday to pick-up my food. I was excited to try out the fish fry plate, only to find the fish is over fried and the batter is too thick for my liking. I prefer a lighter battered fish fry. Cod was still nice but they were on the skinny and smaller side. The sauce that comes with it is great. I appreciated the sauce coming on the side. I was looking forward to the slaw, but they were missing from my tacos…not sure why. I got the tacos on corn but the corn tortillas on top of the thick batter, was a no go for me so removed them. Nothing bad though, the tortillas were your typical corn tortillas.

I ordered through DoorDash but returned to dine in person this time. I ordered the taco trio with shrimp, chicken, and steak. It came with a side of rice and beans. It was all flavorful. I got them the classic way with onions and cilantro. I also got a side of Mexican street corn because it’s one of my favorite dishes, and this was top-tier, too. For the table, we ordered the queso, which was good. I also got a Jarritos fruit punch. Service was quick.
