Another restaurant that was on our foodie radar for awhile. Old time looking Inn that adds ambience to the dining experience. Was also pleasantly surprised by the dinner as well. I had clams in a white wine broth for an appetizer. A Dinner special was Venison medallions in a sherry wine glaze. I have to say both were extremely good .

Chose Metuchen Inn to have dinner for my birthday and I was not disappointed at all. While the cost is a little on the higher end I must say you get your moneys worth. George ( our waiter) was absolutely awesome and I’m very appreciative and thankful for the wonderful customer service he provided. Would definitely go back.

Great more upscale choice for dinner. Food was good especially the octopus and oysters (appetizers)! Entrees presented nicely. I liked the argula & goat cheese salad but it was missing a sweet and citrusy flavor to it – think that would really enhance it. The cocktails are very strong so if you like that then definitely go for it! Staff was attentive and it did not take very long for anything to come out.

This month I hosted a 50 person bridal shower at the Metuchen Inn and it was incredible. The space was set up quickly and efficiently, but it easily customizable to the parties needs. My guests could not stop talking about how good the food was! Not only was the food amazing, the staff was accommodating with how things were served so they did not disturb my decorations. I could not be more impressed with servers and the manager, Constantine. Constantine helped from set up to breakdown, he was full of ideas on where to place certain decorations, which really helped out a stressed out bride. The whole experience was perfect, the Metuchen Inn knows exactly how to host a party!

Delicious! I had the halibut. It was cooked perfectly. For apps we shared calamari (just ok), salad, shrimp (huge) cocktail. The drinks were also very good! For dessert, we shared the bread pudding and banana Caribbean both came with vanilla gelato.
