We had a great experience. The staff were wonderful Sunday morning! Super nice to kids too. We appreciate they have a patio and relaxed atmosphere.
The veggie omelet and croissant French toast were our favorites for breakfast.

First visit to Metro.. Our waitress was Hayden. She was excellent. Happy, funny and informative. We hope to have her wait our table next time we eat here. The food was very good, my salad was one of the best I’ve ever had! Husband said his bisquits and gravy were very good. Breakfast served all day. Nice vibe. I recommend Metro Diner! Our 2nd visit to Metro Diner .. another great meal! August was our waiter, very friendly and he did a great job. Pancakes were excelent, the fries are the best! Husband really enjoyed his breakfast, a waffle made with stuffing in side with gravy on top, served with eggs and hashbrowns. We will be back!

Food: The shrimp and grits, metro burger, and pumpkin pancake were all delicious! But the shepherds pie was a cold, and there was a bit too much mashed potato for my taste.
Service: Some of the servers weren’t very attentive, and after we waited 15 minutes, no one came to our table. We tried to order desserts, but it wasn’t on the system after we checked with one of the waiters.
I really want to like this place, so I’ll try again next time and hopefully I’ll get better service.

Seldom do I go somewhere that I am truly impressed by the personality of the waiter or waitress but my first time in to Metro Diner was very humorous. The last time I had service this good and fun had to be atleast two or three years ago. The food was great (cheese curds and tangy chicken rice bowl), but Jaiden made the experience very entertaining and memorable.

This is what Knoxville has been waiting for. Dining with real honest to goodness food. Lunch was fish and chips. Two big filets, spicy french fries and really good cole slaw.
The crew was quick to take our order and the waitress was friendly. I did manage to get the staff together for a group Pic. Congrats to the teams Metro Dinner I believe you have a WINNER

We have been here twice now, once for dinner, then again for breakfast. Both times the service has been friendly and efficient. I love how well the kitchen communicates. The chicken and waffles is a generous portion and the other food we have tried is good. The grits are my favorite thing there, love the flavor and consistency. Nice to finally have a “homemade” restaurant in the area with a variety of items on the menu.

This place is GREAT!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Calvin was our waiter today. It was mine and my boyfriend’s first time. We both got the Rasberry Ice Tea & the Chicken & Waffles (photos below) we also tried the Apple Cinnamon Pancake & WOW I’ve never had anything like that. I’m not even a fan of pie like that & I’d order this again & again & again!!!! Best fried chicken I’ve had in a looooooooong time too. Calvin was on top of our refills and giving us enough space to enjoy our food but didn’t leave us hanging. He always made sure we were good on napkins, drinks and everything was tasting good!!! He was so nice and was so happy we were first timers. Highly recommend! We will definitely be going back!!!

Chicken pot pie had a deliciously perfect crust. Full of chicken, however the filling was a little too salty. Burger was fantastic, fries were fresh but slightly overcooked. Yelling out order for cheese curds and chicken pot pie from the table was off putting. Not sure why the server did that.

Recently, we went to Metro Diner. I have seen them advertised on DoorDash but we were in the area. I sincerely believe that having a Diner near by is just amazing. Knoxville does not have many Diner style options so to fine Metro Diner is perfect. Diners specialize in different things, Metro Diner has an Awesome Breakfast Menu along with Burgers, Salads, Dinners and so much more. I have had the Metro Club and the Breakfast Sandwich on the croissant. The Hashbrowns are amazing and fully customizable too. My Mother loves their Fried Chicken dinner and my Fiancé loves the Philly Cheesesteak. There is just not enough great things that I can say about the Metro Diner, I highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys a great Diner Style experience.
Their restaurant is clean, plenty of parking, Wheelchair accessible as well, and The Staff are friendly & helpful.
