Exploring food
We haven’t been here for a while but got up early this morning with taste for breakfast. The best sign for a restaurants validity is a crowded parking lot. It was no better on the inside. We had to wait for a seat but only about t minutes. We sat down at a booth and ordered. I had an apple cinnamon waffle and my wife had a regular Belgian waffle. Our waitress Omi recommended it to me. She was good at her job and very efficient. On a blink we were served with way more food than a normal stomach could hold. My hashbrowns were crispy. My waffle was light fluffy and full of flavor. My wife even enjoyed her cheese grits, which is amazing. According to her, nobody dies it right here. All and all, this meal was exemplary and so was the service.

Don’t eat like Feta Cheese and it was highly delicious on my avocado toast. Loved the suggestion of Croissants by Evan, loved his intense energy, and devotion to the service. High quality food and environment. Will most definitely be back forever.

Today we visited Metro Diner in Casselberry Commons around 4:00 PM on Valentine’s Day for a late brunch, excited because we’ve had great experiences at other Metro Diner locations. Unfortunately, this visit resulted in food poisoning.
We were seated quickly in a homey booth and had a pleasant server. We ordered biscuits and gravy as a starter, which we strongly believe caused the illness. The dish tasted good at the time and was the only thing that we really touched, but the person who ate more of it became significantly more sick than the other. Shortly after leaving the restaurant we felt nauseous but thought nothing of it, but about an hour and a half later we were both vomiting uncontrollably and unable to keep anything down.
For our entrées, one hash bowl was completely burnt bitter and inedible, while the other meal was fine aside from a substitution issue. However, these issues were minor compared to the severity of getting sick on such a nice day.
This was extremely disappointing, especially given our positive experiences with other Metro Diner locations. Not sure what happened here today but we will not be returning or recommending, instead we will be reporting.

Came here with friends in the afternoon after a long night. Great decision. Prices are pretty fair especially since the food is very good. There’s a large amount of options and also you can order from the breakfast lunch or dinner menu. There’s service was great I forgot the servers name but they were hilarious.

Large selection of food. Everything was delicious. Cheesy grits were nice and thick. Chicken and waffles were yummy. Would recommend! Prices were very reasonable.

Wow. What a wonderful experience. Our service was wonderful thanks to our server, Dayna! She’s a treat! The fried chicken eggs Benedict was amazing. She suggested I ad sausage gravy and boy that was a great decision!

Great atmosphere, though it was busy the staff was on point with service the Sunday afternoon we our group are there. Evan our server was wonderful, love their energy. Friendly, knowledgeable of the entrees (made great suggestions) and made sure our order was just right.
The shrimp and grits was delicious. I had never had it with bacon but I now like it like that. my husband enjoyed his cheese steak sandwich (a real steak not that thin pieces from a package) and our daughter really enjoyed her spicy honey chicken sandwich.
