Where are we eating today?
Delicious, fresh breakfast with excellent quality. Everything we ordered was flavorful and clearly prepared with care. The ingredients tasted fresh, and each dish was well-balanced and satisfying.

It’s the perfect spot to start the day with a great meal and a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

Staying in Jax and everyone told us this is the best breakfast in town – they weren’t wrong. Great vibe in restaurant and server Clint was very kind and welcoming.

I had a ham and feta cheese omlette that was stupid good. The home fries (which we can’t get in NC) were crispy and flavorful and perhaps the best I’ve ever had – and I grew up in NYS where home fries are a thing. The pancakes were light and fluffy and I can only imagine that the French toast are life altering.

Anyone that leaves this place less than a 5 doesn’t know what the hell they’re talking about

Visited Metro Diner on Baymeadows, on a busy Saturday and the wait was about 15 minutes for a party of three, so nothing crazy. The chicken and waffles was solid but not a standout this time (had better before). Service was also pretty good, no complaints.

I miss when Metro was good. For several years since they opened the Baymeadows location, they were great. However, since the pandemic, every single take out order we have made has not been correct. There is always a missing condiment, side dish, or the customization of the order is wrong. Tonight when I walked in, the hostess sat customers who came in after me before walking 5 steps to pick up my order off the shelf. Then we got home and two out of four of our orders were wrong. My wife ordered chicken fingers with ranch dressing. We did not get the ranch dressing. I ordered the breakfast burger without tomatoes, lettuce, and pickle and the hollandaise sauce on the side (I prefer a less messy burger). My burger came without pickles but had the lettuce and Tomatoes on the burger and the hollandaise sauce was also on the burger. I like the lettuce and tomatoes so not a big deal, but you cant take the hollandaise sauce off without getting rid of all of the hashbrowns. We used to order from there a couple of times a month and now we might order there twice a year and we regret it every time. Wishing for the good old days.

Ordered a family meal fried chicken supposed to feed 4, received 12 pieces of chicken that’s correct then 3 scoops of mashed potatoes and 2 servings of green beans. Chicken tasted like old dirty oil no spicy syrup for 60$ this is very disappointing togo experience.

Gosh it’s been a long time since I’ve been here. I took them off my list years ago bc the food was not on par with the og in San Marco. An invitation to Sunday brunch brought me back. I’m glad it did! The food was fantastic. The staff were accommodating to the fact that the tables they pushed together for our group of 7 was not big enough for all the food we ordered. (Foodies gotta try it all). They moved the 3 kids to an empty booth nearby. The server assigned to that table was not very happy, we felt bad and said nvm. The host came right over and told us to move the kids to the table as she advised.
We thoroughly enjoyed the visit. They have redeemed themselves with food and great service.

Great service and food! We had a large party so I arrived ahead of time and let the staff know. Tawny the hostess immediately began planning how to fit all of us and kept me updated on her progress (it was Sunday at lunch so it was very busy). She was able to seat all of us together and right on time, truly some amazing planning! We had Jasmine as our waitress, she was super friendly and very organized. She checked in on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. A great location with great staff, definitely recommend!

Went in for a late breakfast and the place had that classic diner feel without trying too hard. Coffee was hot and kept coming, which i always appreciate. I ordered eggs over easy with hash browns and toast, and it came out pretty quick. Nothing fancy, but everything tasted fresh and cooked right. The hash browns were crispy on the edges, just how they should be. Service was friendly and casual, no rushing you out the door. Prices felt fair for the portions. Overall it’s a solid diner you can count on when you want a simple, filling meal and a relaxed vibe.
