The food was a amazing I had the California eggs Benedict without the tomato. So good along with crispy hash browns and onions. My husband got the rachero ? Mexican with scrambled eggs, blk beens, sausage, tomatos green peppers and jalapeno. It came with really great big chips. We both ate our whole dishes. Jason our server was amazing and very thoughtful. Thank you Jason and Metro Dinner we will be back soon. * This was now our 3rd visit . 2 nd ordered the same California eggs Benedict but asked to have tomato grilled or cooked some. Even better my husband had same again . This 3rd visit was again amazing food. This is quickly becoming our go to when we are in this part of town. This time I tried the cresant French toast with a side of link sausage sooo good. A extra treat and not to sweet especially if a lil sadauge with the bite of French toast. Highly recommend this also. I then saved half of it to the side to have for breakfast this morning with another order of link sausage. It was that big. So I knew I had to put half aside before I got butter a syrup on it . Of course my husband had the same . He gets cravings for that Mexican ranchero? Our waitress was very attentive and on it before almost we could ask for anything. Her name is Magda R.we will ask for her or Jason again. I believe Jason works nights now.

The fried chicken was moist, juicy and hot with very crispy, lite, breading. The corned beef hash with fried eggs and hollandaise was excellent. Biscuit, mashed potatoes and fresh green beans were good. I subbed the brown gravy with sausage gravy and I liked it.

This is your regular, back-to-the-50’s, down-home diner, folks! If you’re looking for just plain good cookin’, this is your place! A smattering of all kinds of cuisine is available here.

We shared a chicken and waffles meal. Wow!! Was it ever delicious! Tender Belgian waffles served in piled-up fourths, topped with a round mound of fresh strawberry butter (whipped butter with actual strawberries in it!). Four pieces of deep-fried chicken (half a chicken) with a marvelous, so-very-crunchy coating!! I ate the breast piece, and it was very juicy and tender. The seasoning was just right!

We’re too full to order dessert, but they have amazing desserts here as well.

Y’all have to try this place out!! They’re friendly here. Bobbie was our very sweet and efficient waitress.

And if you’re a veteran, still active military, or are a military family, you’ll appreciate all the military memorabilia gracing the walls here.

You’ll gonna love it here!

On a rare visit to The Villages we chose Metro Diner. Great find. Only dissapoinmtne was the Philly Chese Steak sandwich. Way to little meat and stuff inside the bread.

The Chicken Pot Pie was terrific.

Men’s bathroom toilet seat was not safe. It was barely connected. I alerterted very friendly greeters.

Most of the staff was cheerful and willing to help anyone.

I love Metro Diner!! The staff is very friendly and helpful. My autistic grandson will only eat French fries with no salt or any seasoning and they were more than happy to accommodate our request for him. He did tell our server that they were the best fries he had ever had. Thank you Metro diner and staff!

Ate one time here last year and the food was so good and the portions were very nice so returned with friends and sadly very disappointed. The first visit the plate was full and the fish was served over a hearty portion of French fries and the fish was so long it hung slightly over the plate. It was served hot and delicious! This trip there were a small amount of fries and an even smaller piece of fish. It comes with a coleslaw and another side choice. Remembering the large portion of french fries from last visit I decided to do a side salad as my other option and asked if I could not have the fries and have 2 side salads. Nope, I was told no substitutions for early bird meals so I changed my order to a regular dinner thinking I’d take the extra home and asked for the 2 side salads. Still nope! If I added a side salad it would be $1.50 up-charge for both salads since I was eliminating the fries. So went back to the early bird and kept the fries I knew I wouldn’t eat. Posting a picture of the meal. I broke off a small piece on the end of the fish before I took my picture to check it. Noise sitting by the open kitchen was quite load.

My and son and I ordered take out and I’m very disappointed with my food. I ordered the BLT.. a bacon sandwich according to their description. However it was anything but. If 3 pieces of bacon, two weeks pieces of tomato and 2 whole pieces of leaf lettuce were on it, was alot!! Not to mention, the barely any there mayo on one piece of the bread. Bread was old….fries were the best thing. Won’t spend $15 for that again. Completely NOT WORTH IT.
