Sheila was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing hats off to her. The food was delicious we got two pieces of French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and it was all delicious cooked perfectly. I was hesitant to try it but the French toast made with the croissants was delicious. Definitely recommend this place.

EXCELLENT service from every staff member there. Host/waitstaff/cook/management. It was our 1st time and we tried a few of the house favorites.
The fried chicken was good. I tried the hot sauce/syrup mixture and I liked it on the chicken.

Just ate breakfast here for the first time and was very impressed. It’s a Sunday morning and of course it was packed, but I had no wait. The groups that were waiting were very large and they actually seated them very quickly also. My server was extremely friendly, and fast about everything he did. Brought me coffee and water immediately, took my order, and the food was really quick even for a busy time of day. The food was fantastic! Got the biscuits and gravy, with 2 eggs, hash browns, and bacon. Sometimes diners have an issue with everything tasting the same, but not here – every part of my breakfast was delicious. I overheard other servers talking with their customers and across the board everyone was in a good mood and happy to be there. I live in Atlanta but come to Charlotte for work regularly and Metro Diner will definitely be a “must stop” for all of my future visits. Highly recommend!

I stumbled across the best place to eat in Pineville. The Metro Diner was delicious. I had their famous Chicken and Waffles and it did not dissapoint. The Chicken was well seasoned and the waffles were soft with just enough crunch their strawberry butter was also very well balanced. The last part was I got a piece of bread pudding and I could have eaten a pan of that if I hadn’t been so full. Overall it was worth stopping in and if this review comes across your screen… dont wait to get some of the best food you have had in a long time. Highly recommended.

Yesterday, 11/15/2025, was our first time visiting Metro Diner & it certainly won’t be our last. The food, service, and atmosphere were top tier. We had the meat lovers omelettes, waffle, grits, a white sangria, and the cinnamon roll pancakes. Everything was delicious!! Especially, the cinnamon roll pancakes, OMG! Chefs Kiss, It tasted like a dessert! But more importantly, our server, Ty, was phenomenal. She was very personable. Knew the menu, saved us money, and super friendly. She checked on us but also let us enjoyed our food. She was amazing. Can’t wait to return!

Me and my boyfriend always come in on the weekends for brunch and this is our go-to and favorite spot! Everyone provides excellent customer service including manager Amber, waitresses April, Alexis, Paula and many more! Also, the ladies up front always accommodate us by seating us in our favorite booth (11&12) sometimes we have to wait a few minutes but it’s worth it! We always get the biscuits and gravy breakfast and the western omelet and it’s delicious every time! Overall great service, fresh and delicious food, cozy atmosphere and we will be coming back! This place is great! So many places in Charlotte are hard to get into for breakfast, but this place has a nice large dining room, fast service, and most importantly fantastic food!
It’s clean and service is always on point, and the food is exactly what you’d expect, never been disappointed here in the multiple times we’ve been. I love the Bissell breakfast, my son loves the chocolate chip pancakes, my wife is into their breakfast croissants, but you can’t go wrong with anything we’ve tried.

The environment is great very comfortable, food was cooked to perfection, chicken well seasoned and very juicy, and our server Alex was great as well she made sure we were well too ken care of and very helpful. Oh yea and the mimosa a must try. Didn’t get to take pic of all the other food

I’ve had two very different experiences at this restaurant. My first visit was excellent—great service and delicious food. However, my recent takeout order was disappointing. I spent about $40 on breakfast to-go, and most of it was cold by the time I picked it up. The 3-egg breakfast (pictured) was underwhelming, and the bacon was so overcooked and hard that I ended up giving it to my dog. The pumpkin waffle was cold and soggy, though it still had a good flavor. The scramble bowl tasted good as well, but unfortunately, it was also cold.
The website quoted a 16-minute pickup time, and I arrived at 17 minutes, which suggests the order was prepared much earlier and sat waiting. Based on my experience, I would recommend dining in for breakfast—where the food and service really shine—but I cannot recommend the takeout option.
