I’ve been wanting to come to this place for the last year! It was well worth the wait! I had an maple bacon pancake(seasonal item). It was nice and crispy on the edges and pillow set in the middle with bacon baked all throughout the pancake. The grits was cooked to perfection! No salt or pepper needed. My niece had a cinnamon roll pancake which was just as good! My sisters had a delicious Croissant French toast and my daughter had a Berry waffle with Blueberries cooked throughout. Everyone enjoyed their meals!! We had great service from Kourtney! The young lady that sat us had a great personality. I will definitely be back in the future!

It was our first visit to Metro Diner. We arrived nearly 5 minutes to close, but we’re accepted with great smiles.

This was my first visit and definitely not my last. We arrived around 1230 on a Saturday and were told we’ll have a 30 min wait. Fortunately, we only waited about 5 mins. Our waitress was nice and friendly and attended to us quickly. I ordered the chicken and waffles and a mimosa. I fell in love with the first bite of my chicken. You get plenty of chicken, which includes a leg, wing, thigh, and breast with a dipping sauce that’s very good. The chicken was crispy and tasty The waffles and strawberry butter were delicious. My boyfriend enjoyed his meal as well. We left full and satisfied, I can’t wait to go back. Service was awesome!

I live near downtown and can walk to most of Raleigh’s best restaurants for breakfast, lunch, brunch, or dinner. But I have not found a restaurant I can walk to that makes good hash browns. Metro Diner makes great hash browns. So, when I’m craving hash browns I hop in my car and head to Metro Diner. The breakfast bowls are good, the omelettes, everything I’ve tried here is good. The good food is not a secret though so either get here early or expect a wait.

Just picked up the beef tips to try as I’m trying to do a catering order with them. The beef tips are good and were meaty with no gristle today. Ask them to cook it a little less( maybe medium/medium well) to be tender after heating up in the microwave, they become a little chewy after heating them up. The mashed potatoes with gravy and the Broccoli were good. I’m not sure if I’m using for catering, but they’re in the lineup. In the pics, I did take a small serving.

This was my first time coming here and I declare, your Maple Bacon Waffle puts every other waffle I’ve ever tried to shame! In my 55 years, I have never had a better waffle!

Did not disappoint! The food was excellent. We had the fried chicken platter with a chicken noodle soup and the chicken & waffles. Service from Zahnya (not sure of spelling) was impeccable along with her team mates. The staff worked together effortlessly. Kudos Metro Diner!

First time going to Metro Diner and overall I was pleased. There was a wait time but it went quickly. The croissant French toast was awesome and my favorite. I wouldn’t order the steak scramble again because it wasn’t seasoned to me but all and all I would absolutely go back. The environment was nice and you also didn’t have to wait for food long. Mimosa’s are $4 and worth it.

Ordered metro diner for delivery. The order was wrong and I assume because the online order system has a glitch.I could not place my order without picking fruit as an additional side however I guess that made the hash browns cancel out. We asked for ketchup and there was only one tiny amount of syrup. That didn’t even cover a 1/4 of my top pancake. But not only was it wrong and missing items this is how they packed my food. Why put cold fruit in with hot eggs? My over easy eggs were smashed and broken my English muffin came with no jelly and no butter, and was practically burnt. What a waste of $40!
