Been here a couple times and always loved this place. Went for high tea and was such good quality. Little finger sandwich’s, tea , and desserts. Really loved the custard and the bite bites were so good as well. Defs recommend for a nice little day

From start to finish, we had a lovely experience here. Service was stellar and the food was divine! Who puts strawberries and beets together? Who thinks of that? They do. And it was worth the hike out to Simsbury! Serene atmosphere, unpretentious. Staff were attentive and quite pleasant. Drinks were delicious. But the star of the show was the food! Everything we ate was divine! I highly recommend this place. The menu rotates, so it’s worth multiple trips. Everything was fresh and full of flavor! We were a party of 2 and split everything. Thank you for a great experience!

I can’t say enough great things about Metro Bis! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience.
The food was absolutely delicious – every dish we tried was perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. You can tell they put a lot of care into every plate.
What really stood out was how accommodating they were. It’s rare to find a place that checks all the boxes, but Metro Bis does just that! We’ll definitely be back.
Highly recommend for any occasion!

I came here for dinner with my husband and another couple for the pre-fix dinner after hearing that they had a good tasting menu. We got a reservation for 6pm on a Wednesday and were able to find the place no problem.
The vibe and feel of the place is very fun and different with books and interesting decor all around the dining room. The wait staff were also all kind and quick to chat with you.
The menu was $60 and there were a decent amount of options for each course. There were also a few sharable items for an extra $10 you could get for the table. I got the acorn squash, hanger steak, and chocolate ganache for my meal and the table shared the truffle fries. The food was good, I wouldn’t say anything blew me away, but all tasty. I will say that I found the portions to be very small for the price point. My appetizer of the acorn squash was particularly disappointing when I had 2 small slices of squash. My husband’s short ribs had the smallest bit of meat. My hanger steak could also have used some more sides and I feel bread for the table should have been provided, rather than offering it for an extra $10.
Overall it was a good meal, wait staff friendly, but a bit pricey for what you got. I’d keep that in mind if you chose to stop in.

Incredible!! This was hands down one of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of eating at. The staff was friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. The atmosphere was quiet and eclectic. The food was out of this world, and honestly the best Alfredo I’ve had in my life!!

Looking for a very nice, fancy, 3 course meal for that date that you’re trying to impress? This is the place. Typically 3 course meal restaurants charge a crazy price, but Metro Bis only charges $60 per a person. The course sizes are almost perfect that by the time you reach desert, you’re completely full. Just remember, dress to impress.
Update – Unfortunately the food has dropped after a year of my last visit. The salad had been drowned in dressing, and the creme Brule was burnt (not the way it should be). I’d still say if you’re okay with spending a lavish amount of money, try it out. If not, ignore it.
I do not recommend the drinks unfortunately, as they are extremely overpriced. And if you want wine, you’re better off buying the bottle there than getting a glass.
The building is beautiful though, weekend nights can get very crowded however.
The main course was cooked very well.

Elegant and delicious! Dinner for 10 to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. Joanne was our host and waitress. She and her staff were very professional and perfectly coordinated. Food was prepared and cooked perfectly. Worth the (limo) trip from Springfield.

My mom threw me the bridal shower of my dreams at Metro Bis. Courtney and staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, and so nicely stepped in to help carry decor in to the venue, and set up our flowers, favors, and sign. My guests were blown away by the food – we offered the frittata , French toast, crab cakes, and rigatoni pasta… all were absolutely delicious. When it was time to open my gifts, multiple staff stepped in to bring our boxes out to our car. Everything was run to perfection, and staff truly thought of everything. This is a beautiful gem of a venue. I cannot thank Metro Bis enough for such a perfect day!

Nice place. Short ribs great. Full of flavor, hot and satisfying. Key lime pie fair, not much flavor and deconstructed? Lemon bars very nice. Service good.

Every item we ordered was fantastic-lots of gluten-free choices. I was there for my birthday, and they gave me a small vase of flowers to take home. They split my sister‘s dessert and put a candle in mine so we could celebrate together. The service was attentive and discreet. The atmosphere was beautiful.
