Metro Bar is the kind of place you go once and immediately wonder why you haven’t been going all along. I have been coming here for years and the always blown away by the quality of the food and the fun, laid-back vibe — especially during karaoke night. The newly renovated patio and garage doors that roll up are a hit for the indoor and outdoor experience.
Let’s start with the food: the calamari is hands down some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfectly crispy, not greasy, and served with a dipping sauce that’s just the right amount of tangy. You can tell they actually care about what comes out of the kitchen here — it’s not just bar food, it’s good food. Everything we tried had that same “made with love” flavor — fresh, flavorful, and comforting.
And then there’s the karaoke. Whether you’re a seasoned mic-dropper or just there to cheer on your friends, the weekend karaoke scene at Metro is a blast. The crowd is friendly, the hosts keep it fun, and the energy is infectious. It’s the kind of night where strangers become your new backup singers.

They just raised their food prices and their portions are smaller as well! 9 bucks for 5 cheese sticks, 10 bucks for 4 small potato skins, just to mention a couple of things. Do yourself a favor and eat at home before you come here. It is not worth the price! Service is good depending on the waitress and the girl behind the bar. There are a couple good ones there and there are a couple of bad ones. I will not name them, you figure it out. Restrooms are horrible! Women always complain about the women’s restroom on how bad it smells.

First time eating here. We had the saganaki, Chevapi, and the Polish dinner. Polish dinner was excellent for a bar and not a Polish restaurant. So much food for the price. Polish sausage was cooked perfectly. Looked similar, but not some cheap Miss T pierogi. Filling was whipped and seasoned. Golabki I didn’t eat my bf did and he said it was one of the best he had. Mind you we’re both Polish. Potato pancakes were good. More like cheese shredded potatoes fried. My bf said the chevapi was great and zero complaints. He’s excited to go back and try other entrees. Saganaki should’ve been placed on foil but we live decently close. Perfect temperature when we received the order. Had the soup of the day as well. Broccoli cheddar soup & it was rich with broccoli. Tasted homemade and seasoned well. I would definitely recommend this place.

Just an FYI to the owner and bartenders. You all lost $$$ tonight. Stopped in to get a few beers and a carry out but one bartender was too busy searching for something on TV and then doing her makeup to serve a beer or even acknowledge me. The other pretty much just stood in the corner of the bar. Unfortunately very bad service for a place that has decent food.

Great food, some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Server was friendly & knowledgeable. Plus they have darts & a pool table for your enjoyment. I say stop through if you haven’t already.

Noticed that they had a remodel so wanted to check it out. Place is small on the inside so your kinda back to back with tables. Service was nice, slow in the beginning. For it to be a bar I would have liked a drink menu or maybe a few specials. Food there was a lot on the menu very different they have polish food, geek, and traditional American. We got a burger that was on the special menu. The Metro balboa burger which is a angus patty, Philly steak with cheese, onion, pepper and has A1 sauce. The server recommended adding lettuce. We thought it would come out more like a hoogie and the A1 kinda through me off. We also got a spinach dip which was good.

I met a friend for lunch. I ordered tacos and fries with soup but was not informed that French onion was an up-charged until I received my bill. The fries were cold, the bathroom didn’t have lighting over the sink, they had sewer issues because it smelled bad, and there was no hot water. I don’t plan to return.
