I had dinner here with church friends and the three of us had delicious meals. The meat loaf, trout, and roast turkey dinners were a big hit! Nice ambiance, clean, comfortable, quiet with a terrific staff. Our server Angel was an angel…so accommodating and friendly. It was my first visit here since the late 90s, but I’ll be back for sure!

It was our first time visiting this place and it did not disappoint! Quick service, tasty food and great price for the portion…it is a big portion! We ended taking the rest home. Maybe next time we will share. We didn’t try the desserts since we didnt have room but we will definitely do it when we get back! They have a pretty extensive menu and great selection of desserts!

Over priced food for the quality. We enjoyed the atmosphere, I can’t say the breakfast was as enjoyable. My eggs were not cooked properly. The hashbrowns were just ok. My husband’s omelet was way over cooked. We were passing through this area and if we’re ever back we would try it again. For dessert they looked amazing.

This is a great retro diner with all the chrome and neon lights. Parking is at the rear with access to the restaurant from either side. We were seated right away and the booths are comfy. Service is very good with all the servers dressed nicely and uniformly. The menu choices are extensive and they serve breakfast all day. There really is so much on the menu from Italian to Greek to American and more. Our food, we ordered the French onion soup, then I had the gyro and my wife the chicken and broccoli, all was excellent. We got dessert to go! Go here and have a great time with great food.

The atmosphere was very pleasant. I was greeted and seated quickly. The waitresses were all very attentive, courteous, pleasant. It’s a large diner in comparison to a typical diner. It’s currently 81° outside and inside it’s cool, not cold…perfect!
I ordered the silver dollar pancakes with 2 sausage links, and a side of corned beef hash. Everything came quickly, hot, and to order. I wasn’t a fan of the sausage. For me, it was a little porky (I never thought I would ever use that word) and lacking seasoning. I don’t think they were “traditional” pork sausage links. The pancakes were fluffy and tasty. Next time, I’ll asked for them to be cooked a little more. The hash was perfect. I had enough to split in half and take home.
I highly recommend and if in the area, return.

This restaurant food is consistent it is always great the servings are humongous the service is awesome the hostess is open the door for the party I was with to enter into exit.
I have been coming to Metro diner since they opened I have no complaints about this restaurant at all.

Another really disappointing diner experience in the DMV.
My wife and I first ate at this diner many years ago. This time, we did not particularly enjoy our meal. Wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t that good. Definitely not worth the price with Trump-flation.
The service was okay, but the atmosphere was really off. We didn’t feel comfortable here and we were unable to get the on duty manager to come to our table. Neither of us felt welcome here. We rushed our dinner just so we could be out of this unpleasant environment.
When we first ate here years ago, we had really enjoyed ourselves. This time was actually pretty awful. Things have really gone downhill here since we last ate here about 10 years ago. Desperately need new management.
We don’t plan to ever give them another penny of our money.

The vast menu has me wondering about more thing I want to try. Too bad I could only eat one item, as the portions here are huge! The Greek Salad was very tasty, I really enjoyed the dressing.
All the desserts, and pastries are made in house, and are droolicious…
Nick is an exceptional person when it comes to attentiveness to the customer, I pray more servers can take some tips from this gentleman.

This place has gone up-up-up in cost and down-down-down in quality. The worst bacon I’ve ever had, the omelettes don’t taste fresh, and I had a cockroach run across my counter top. Other than that, the water is clean and cold. I think. Not ever going back.
