This place has good American styled brisket and pullled pork. It’s ok, not great , in my opinion . The ribs were certainly in the OK category to me, not great. We had heard great things about them, but I’m honestly not sure if it was just a bad day in the kitchen or if people just haven’t had great ribs before. I can’t speak much for the rest of the menu – and i must say there’s a lot of options. More importantly , we didn’t eat anything that was particularly Asian style from their menu , other than the char siu pork rolls which I thought were pretty good. However, I happen to know char siu very well and… I don’t think that was char siu.. now, it’s possible that there are other things on this restaurants menu which are much better. Our choices were heavily American-focused, though that wasn’t exactly what we were going for. For example , we were hoping the pork chops were Vietnamese style with some fish sauce in the marinade, etc, like I’ve had before… those are to die for, and fantastic. but they were not.. it was just the usual American pork chops .. For me, the experience was just not very impressive. We have many restaurants around here that offer similar American barbecue options, and honestly I think several of them are considerably better at it. I believe the point of this place is that it’s a fusion, and I think this place is best enjoyed if you combine American and Asian choices together. The fried mushrooms were also just ok.. honestly, i think this was the most disappointing thing we tried… it reminds me of the bar food-type fried mushroom everyone does, with some shredded cheese sprinkled over them. Not something you’ll rave over or even remember an hour later. now, the collards were decent in my opinion, and they seemed to not be coming out of a can like some places around here. Hats off for the collard greens effort , at least☺️ and very friendly staff by the way and nice location. But would I give this place another try? Honestly probably not. It’s not terrible, it’s just ok. The problem is that so many places do the food we had, and several can do it better and aren’t that far away. There’s nothing that stands out enough to bother with it. Sorry just my honest opinion

Awesome food! Second time visiting. Both times everyone enjoyed their food. We got Salmon, Small BBQ Sandwich, Wings, Sweet Potato Fries, Mashed Potatoes, Butter Corn, and Collard greens. The waiter is kind, attentive, personable, and remembered everything we said with ease. Very surprised more people arent here each time we have gone. Hush puppies are delicious btw!

I was not expecting this place to have Korean food and boba. I took my niece and her girlfriend. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Ordered Korean popcorn chicken, which was crispy and seasoned well and there was chicken skin. We loved it. For those skeptical, I would at least try it. Extra crispy and tasty. We also ordered the ttteokbokki, which are spicy rice cakes and this one also had fish cakes. Yummy! And lastly we ordered the cod fish sandwich. Don’t know if I’ve had one this delicious and crispy. For drinks we ordered the mango fruit tea with boba and strawberry yogurt. Both very good! I cannot wait to go back and try other things.

The food was awesome! I got the Kimchi Bokkeumbap (Kimchi Fried Rice) and it was fantastic. It came out on a cast iron skillet and had the perfect layer browned rice on the bottom, very good! My friend had the Wagyu Burger and said it was excellent. We’re going back

I’m finally getting around to writing the review that this place truly deserves!

Honestly, it’s tempting to gatekeep this because it’s that good, but the folks that run it deserve all the success in the world and packed tables from open to close.

10/10 no notes…I will ramble about it anyway:

I am so SO pleased that this ridiculously sweet family opened this gem of a restaurant. We haven’t had a place this good…maybe ever? Certainly not in my 25+ years around here. (grew up here, currently Atlanta based and spoiled on Asian food of many types, but I come back frequently for family)

The food? Fabulous.
The drinks? Delicious.
The boba? Probably the best in Charlotte metro and I am prepared to fight about it.

Every food item is crafted with care and you can feel it.

Usually an eclectic menu isn’t the best sign, but they do everything really well!

The Korean rice cakes (tteokboki) are better than most I’ve had in Atlanta (perfect flavor ratio in the sauce), the fried items are so nicely fried and drained in such clean oil that I couldn’t even tell you what they used, and they should bottle and sell their housemade ranch (hidden valley who? don’t know her anymore)

The bar is well stocked, but don’t sleep on the housemade Apple Pie Bourbon if they have it!

And I could do a full 30 minute set extolling the greatness of their milk tea. Hokkaido milk tea and really good coffee jelly are actually pretty rare around Atlanta so that’s my go to right now while I’m back in town, and the quality rivals the highest rated places down there (which is saying a lot if you know how Ft. Mill used to be and anything about boba selection in ATL)

There’s not enough space to properly yap about Meto Pub, seriously.

It became one of my top three favorite restaurants of all time rapidly; and on top of it all, the people really make it shine.

They’ve been kind enough to listen to me vent and connect on shared experiences, they remember me whether I dine in or just pick up a boba, they left me a really sweet note on a bag of hushpuppies the last time I got lunch to go, and it’s great to banter about games and anime and food at the bar.

This place is the best and y’all better patronize them enough to keep it thriving because I need them to be here on all my trips back up here

**Bonus points for epic cat stickers on boba cups, cool glassware, and excellent kpop at a nice volume inside

First time eating here. The pork chops were thick cut and succulent. This is a perfect place to go to if you’re craving Southern BBQ and Korean inspired dishes.
