We’re spicing things up, closed from 23 June – 6 July. We’ll be back soon! Mestizo is a reflection of the Alvarado family’s roots and the traditions they hold dear. Originally from Mexico, the family spent years running restaurants back home before creating Mestizo in London—a place where they could share their culture and a taste of home. Placed on the King’s Road, Mestizo offers dishes close to their hearts and Mexican tradition, like the volcanic Molcajete bowl and Cuitlacoche (Mexican truffle). All made with recipes passed down through generations. The fresh tortillas, and vibrant salsas are a true celebration of the flavours of Mexico. It’s more than food, it’s a way to connect with traditions of Mexico, right in the heart of London.

Really enjoyed this high-quality Mexican restaurant – indeed with a night club below!
Situated near Euston Road and towards Camden.
There is also a Mexican shop next door with a wide range of food and drinks products and a small cafe.
Onto the food – we had tacos and it comes in these delightful little bowls with choice of tortilla.
The food was very good indeed – fresh and incredibly tasty.
Id recommend the spring onion and chili sides for sure.
This is a buzzing restaurant – they have a little routine for people with birthdays.
Highly fun place and well worth a visit, suitable for groups of all sizes for sure.

We came from the Sunday brunch buffet and had the best time. Warm friendly service, delicious food and a cosy fun environment. The tacos were great as was the birria, tamales and main dishes. We can’t wait to come back.

This was such a wonderful valentines dining experience. A really welcoming environment, friendly staff and amazing Mexican food. We had nachos to start which were really delicious followed by the taco sharing tray which was a brilliant idea and so so so tasty… highly recommend this dish! They also offered some special extras because it was Valentine’s Day which was a nice added touch. Will definitely return again soon.

An incredible find! It’s so difficult to find a truly authentic Mexican restaurant offering traditional mexican cuisine, rather than Tex Mex. They had everything, all my favourite dishes from Tostadas to Mole Enchilada, finishing up with a Carajilo. The atmosphere was amazing! It was packed, and they brought out the sombrero and Mariachi music to celebrate some guests’ birthdays. My waitress Paola was a delight. All the staff were Mexican it seemed too. The food was all incredibly tasty. Would highly recommend! I’ll be back!

Everyone, but particularly our servers – Carlos Hugo and Paola E. – made this date night out to dinner at Mestizo’s one of the best Mexican meals we’ve ever had…we can’t wait to come again! The frozen margarita is the best in the UK, no competition! We will be back, truly a 10/10 experience!

Definitely the best Mexican restaurant in London! I went there for my birthday and everything was amazing. If you go, you have to try the molcajete (green or red) — it’s so tasty. The portions are generous for the price, and the staff is super friendly. Special thanks to Valentina and Marvin for the great experience!

The atmosphere was very fun but relaxed at the same time. We got the tacos which were really good and quite filling; we wish we could’ve tried a lot more on the menu. Our favorite fillings were the carnitas and tinga. The flavored margaritas were also a 10/10.
We went for my birthday and at the end of the night they played music and brought out a sombrero and a shot, which was a really nice way to celebrate.

Amazing food. We went on Valentine’s day so was naturally very busy which meant we had to queue for a short while despite booking, but service once seated was great despite how busy it was, and we were also able to take a free bottle of sauce. Food is 10/10, feels very authentic and brilliant flavours. The menu is extensive so was difficult to choose what to have as it all sounded great, we will definitely be returning to try more

Amazing food. We got pork and chicken Tamales, the Taco board for 2 and the Flan Casero for dessert. All of it I would highly recommend.
The service was wonderful. Our server Carlos Hugo was super attentive and friendly and an all round lovely server and made suggestions of things we should get.

Amazing place! I went for my birthday and the atmosphere was very festive. We got a taco tray to share and the pastel de coco y queso. The food came very quickly and both were delicious!
The drinks Coco Loco, Agua Horchata, and Mother Margarita were incredible!
All the staff were also really friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Hugo for making our experience so memorable.
