By far the best Mexican restaurant experience we’ve ever had. Excellent service, amazing food, great value. Clean and comfortable dining area with a fun, screened-in outdoor patio as well. We ordered 2-for-1 margaritas that were served with a fresh flower and orange & lime slices. The delicious guacamole was topped with fresh cilantro, which we devoured with the complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered the combination fajitas but were too busy eating them to take a picture. Even though we were full, we couldn’t resist ordering the flan for dessert. Again, we were blown away.

Infamously Weird
I really enjoyed this restaurant as the food that I got was sooo good and got a lot of it. Also, the vibes in this place were so chill and nice. It made it feel like you can really enjoy your food and they always refilled the drinks right away.

I feel bad giving a low review to a small business. But fact is it was terrible. I took pictures late again, we ordered 2 cali burritos, one chicken one beef.
The burritos were not wrapped properly. Also meat on one end and other ingredients on other end. So both parts of rolling the burrito were ruined. On both burritos.
Soggy and not delicious. The flavor was just not that of Mexican food. Neither of us liked our burrito very much. Probably due to the flavors being separated so couldnt enjoy like a normal burrito. Also the salsa was very tomato paste flavored.

Our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised! Food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is very inviting. We did have a few mishaps with our server but she was the only one on the floor waiting tables so we understand mistakes can happen. My husband and I both ordered their 3 tacos plate and every single one was so flavorful and fresh. Beer was ice cold and lots of drinks to choose from! They even offer homemade lemonades and horchata. Covered outdoor seating is available for this beautiful weather we have in Jax. We will definitely be back!

Great service and atmosphere. Drinks were good but food was mediocre. With the 5+ star reviews I had high expectations but the food fell flat. Rice had no flavor and refried beans had an odd flavor I can’t describe. Maybe I will return and try something different.

We had such a great experience here! The restaurant has a clean and beautifully decorated atmosphere…cute, inviting, and perfect for a night out. The cocktail menu is so fun and unique, with creative flavors you won’t find everywhere. The food menu is vast, offering plenty of options, and everything we tried was packed with delicious flavors.
A special shoutout to Angel, who provided amazing service, friendly, attentive, and incredibly fast. Angel really made the dining experience extra enjoyable.
Overall, this is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to and recommending to friends!

Stopped at Mestizo for lunch and really enjoyed it! We had the Mestizo Roll (tasted like a fun twist on a jalapeño popper) and the Spicy Southwest Salad, which I ordered with the veggie patty instead of meat… it was delicious, almost like falafel. They were super accommodating with my request and very pleasant. Nice atmosphere and unique menu offerings.

Mestizo doesn’t disappoint. My wife and l first time here and l mean everything was fresh and delicious! The drinks were great, plenty of portions of food and the atmosphere is very pleasant. A huge variety of items to choose from on the menu.Top notch service from the waiter. Angel C served us and suggested some items explaining what the ingredients were. We are definitely coming back to Mestizo Mex Cocina.
