Was recommended by a friend and boy were they right. So many unique options even though the menu is on the small side. That’s a good thing here. They have a few things they are doing extremely well. Enough variety to find something you’ll love though. First they brought out a free potato taco with their hot sauces so you could try them all while you wait for your food. We got a variety of tacos and all were very unique and special. We got the guacamole to start and the fried tortillas and chicharrones they came with were delicate and divine.

Like other reviewers mentioned, you get a free taco de canasta made of potato so that you can try their salsas. I loved this interactive approach compared to other places that just bring chips and salsa!

When we arrived we were immediately welcomed and liked the environment. Our food was overall 10/10. We tried the guacamole with chicharrón and tostadas and it was delicious! We got there early enough that we were the first ones there, but slowly the place filled up, and the owner made sure to greet every single person and often checked up on each table to make sure everything was as up to par.

We tried different tacos, flautas, cantaritos, and the tres leches cake and nothing disappointed! The taste is truly authentic, and as someone from Mexico City, I appreciated the pineapple on the tacos al pastor! The music was great too!

Will definitely return!!

It didn’t look like much from the outside, but the food was excellent. The restaurant has a fast food, order at the counter, pick your own seat atmosphere. But they will serve your food to your table. We stopped by just to see what they had to offer and to check out the flavors. And we were pleasantly surprised. We had the chips & chicharrón with guacamole. The guacamole was very flavorful. We also had the carne asada and the birria street tacos that came with an array of wonderful sauces that were explained to us by our server. Our drinks (horchata, tamarindo) were served in a unique cup that added to the atmosphere. We definitely will be going back to try more items from their menu.

1st time here & I’ll be back. Very friendly employee’s. At arrival explained the menu a “tacoria” & multiple salsas on the side with cilantro & onions. The steak, chicken, pork was very juicy with great seasoning. We also had the chicarron’s with guacamole & that was Amazing. A nice change from chips & salsa. The magarita was very strong & flavored, love the clay cup it came in with a toasted lime!!

It’s a very friendly atmosphere with some of the best tacos I’ve had in a long time! Expect to choose your tacos and find a seat to your liking. They’ll bring out a salsa board and you’ll fix them to your liking. Very tasty! I had the steak, pork, and chicken. They also brought out a complimentary potato taco that was a nice appetizer.

I had a lovely time here! This taqueria is relatively unassuming from the outside but so beautifully decorated on the inside. The service was very nice and the gentleman at the front explained all of the taco options and what we should avoid given our preferences. This is NOT a Tex-Mex restaurant. Do not expect fajitas/burritos/quesadillas/etc. This is specifically for authentic Mexican tacos and they were delicious! First we were served water in a Don Julio tequila bottle which was hilarious. Then we were given a potato taco w/ a variety of sauces as a complimentary appetizer which was delicious. I had the lamb option and the pineapple + pork option for my 2 tacos and they were so well made. You could tell they were made fresh. I really enjoyed my time here and wish I had pictures!

Mestiza is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! I have tried many margaritas in the city and would say that Mestiza hands down has the very best one. The guacamole is perfect and the tacos are excellent. I’ve been here several times and the service is always great — the owner is so friendly. Do yourself a favor and stop by for dinner soon.

Had a fantastic dinner at Mestiza. The tacos were uniquely and deliciously seasoned with lots of salsa to try. The margarita had the best fresh like flavor. Super kind and helpful staff that you can tell have a lot of pride for their recipes and food. Would highly recommend!

This is a peculiar Mexican Taco place. You order your tacos and drinks at the bar and they will bring that to your table. Portions are small for US standard, but everything is home made. The sauces, the meats, the drinks….If you are expecting huge portions of precooked industrial meals, do not come here, but if you are looking for a true Taco Joint this is your place. To start they will bring you a potato taco to taste the sauces for free. This is not the standard Mexican restaurant that has a huge menu but that all the plates seem the same: same sauce, same rice, same beans ….be brave and try!
