Mess is 100% worth the hype. Yes, there’s usually a line, but that’s because the food is amazing! The wait time is totally expected and honestly part of the experience, because once you get your food, you immediately understand why everyone’s there. The waffles are perfectly cooked, loaded with flavor, and clearly made with care. Some of the best chicken and waffles I’ve had. Everything tastes fresh, indulgent, and downright addictive. The staff keeps things moving and stays friendly even when it’s busy, which says a lot. If you’re anywhere near College Station and love great food, Mess Waffles is a must-try. I’ll be back again.

Today was my first visit to Mess Waffles, and I really enjoyed it. Service was good and helpful, and I got recommendations for my next visit. I ordered the chicken and waffles, with a side of mac and cheese. The chicken is probably one of the best pieces of chicken I have ever had in my life. Perfectly cooked, juicy, the breading is phenomenal! Waffle was nice and fluffy. The sauce they give with it was very enjoyable with the chicken and waffle. The mac and cheese was great as well. Next time I visit College Station I will have to come back and try this again, as well as the dessert options.

I have heard about this place for a while and have been watching to try it so I finally went with a few friends. You order at a register then they bring out your food to your assigned table. I got the Nutella waffles with strawberries and a side of potatoes. The waffles were delicious and the perfect amount of sweetness. I will say it says on the menu syrup is an extra $.90 but I just asked for it at the register when ordering and they added it to my order for free. In addition the potatoes were not for me. They were heavily fried it was hard to eat them because they were pretty heavy for me, so I ended up giving them to my friends to finish. I know my friends loved them though so if that is your thing definitely get them, I just prefer pan potatoes not fried. I would definitely come back again!

I’ve heard about this restaurant for a while and went to go check it out today. The French toast that I ordered was really good. It was nice and fluffy and all of the elements worked well together.

It got really messy, you have both healthy options and filling options (trying to find a nice word for it)
Essentially if you have any medical condition, get the fruit. Your stomach will be like a camel that hasn’t seen water in months. praising you for that strawberry

The chicken was amazing! Got the dirty spice level and it was delicious with a nice kick. French toast was also delicious! I ate every bite. I prefer the French Toast to the waffles because I prefer my waffles fluffy, and they do crispy waffles.

Okay I get made fun of for this being my favorite restaurant in town. I’m 40 and vegan, how is this college student adjacent chicken spot my favorite? Well this place makes the best vegan Mac & cheese anywhere. I’ve had fancy vegan mac in LA and NY and it somehow doesn’t even compare to Mess. And their vegan chicken is homemade seitan with a little bit of spice? So good so good. This should be enough for five stars, but today, some rude person was vaping indoors, seated next to my children; I asked them to stop and they just looked at me. So I went to the counter and told the person working, and they not only asked them to stop, but made them put the vape away, and kept an eye on them until they left. This person really went the extra mile for my family. I love Mess. It’s my favorite restaurant in BCS, hands down.

This is one of the best breakfast places around the college. I like their ambience, food and service. All the items prepared are fresh and you can feel while eating.
It’s not expensive and their mimosas are good.

Hit them on a busy Sunday morning after a small closure in the AM for a catering order, still made it through the line in good time and got some amazing food. Got a Mess Breakfast (sub chocolate chip waffle) and a Caesar wrap to go, they brought me my Caesar wrap towards the end of our meal at the perfect time! Will for sure be back to try more of the menu.

We stopped by for brunch after church today the line was out the door but it was definitely worth the wait. The cashier helped explain the menu to us and Once we sat down we got our food really fast.I tried the Cajun Mac & cheese it was so yummy but a little spicy. My son tried the mess breakfast which i sampled too it was delicious and we also ordered the Nutella waffles with strawberries. they had freshly squeezed orange juice and Starbucks frap. We plan on coming back and trying more menu items. My favorite was the Mac and cheese!! Worth a try and the food was reasonable priced.
