What a hidden gem in Shamrock, Texas. I come through Shamrock several times a year and never knew this fantastic restaurant was there.
The Chicken Fried Steak is just like I remembered my grandma making. Very good!
The Chili Rellenos I ordered sounded good but I never expect them to be good. OMG these were just like I make and covered in cheese sauce if you prefer. Which I do prefer cheese sauce on mine. If you like chili rellenos you have to try these!
Price were very reasonable. Service was fantastic and they made you feel very comfortable. I will definitely be back and will make sure my trip includes stopping here to eat in Shamrock Texas.

Oh my gosh, what a find!! If you’re traveling on I-40 and want a delicious meal in a relaxed friendly atmosphere This is definitely your place. Folks are very friendly. The place is very clean and well kept. The food is just delicious I had a 12 ounce ribeye, okra, pinto beans, and bread pudding The entire meal was superb. The food quality is incredible Trust me, I’m a Steak snob. When I tell you, the steak was delicious believe it The okra and pinto beans were cooked perfectly. The bread pudding was amazing AND so was the service ❤️

My husband and I stopped in on our long drive through Texas. It was really nice, we’re from southern NM and the catfish gave me a huge sense of nostalgia for the catfish I grew up eating. The room in the back with all the windows also has the BEST view. Our waitress let us know that in the summertime because of all the windows it gets very hot back there, so I do think some optional blinds would be nice. However the temperature was perfect when we were in today around 4pm. It was quiet and we were the only people in the back room the whole time, our sever was great and she even had my catfish fried longer for me when I wanted it crispy. I got some great Instagram pictures outside too, overall 5 star experience ✨

We had a table of 10. There were only 7 other tables in the place. Walked in at 7. Paid out after 9. Was told to pick a table, only table was dirty. Waited 15 min for it to be cleaned. Finally just sat down at the dirty table. Waitress brought us menus. I asked her to please wash off the table 10 min later she comes back to wash off the table. We finally order appetizers. 45 minutes later we get those. No drink refills, no check-ins, nothing. While the food was decent, the service was very lacking. Had to get up to get own napkins and silverware. Not impressed at all. No we do not live here. Came in based on reviews.

We ordered about a half an hour ahead because we are truck drivers and time is important. We get there, the order wasn’t ready. We waited about ten more minutes. Order is up. We check the bag. There’s no salad dressing, no sour cream and no butter or utensils. Someone drop the spatula that day. However, this was the second time eating here. First time we dined in. Their food was excellent and generous portions and prices were reasonable. I recommend this restaurant.

My hamburger was really good with good French fries. My son’s chicken fry was good. My wife and daughter had some fajita hot potato and it was ok. The service was slow. They didn’t have a lot of hep. But it was a nice place to eat and far better than a McDonald’s meal.

We stopped in Shamrock overnight and decided to stop by for dinner. Although very casual, the food and service were top notch! My younger son and I had the ribeye. Very delicious, tender and smokey! My husband and older son had the special which is chicken fried steak and they raved about it!!
The atmosphere seemed to be mostly locals, which is always a good sign.
I don’t think I’ll ever be back to Shamrock, Texas(not for any reason other than this was just a pass through). However if I find myself passing through again, I will definitely return here!
Also, bonus points: it has a beautiful view of the West Texas sunset, which I got to witness upon my arrival to the restaurant!

Hubby & I in town in a weekend get away and our Hotel staff recommended to us. It did not disappoint! So much so, we had breakfast the next morning then went back for dinner the next night (pics if plates day 2 not fake )
I have attempted steaks all over the place and this was first place I e been happy! My steak cooked perfect and everything great.
Due to snow everything closed our first night but this place and the waitresses was busy but she never made us feel forgotten. Food and staff great and lived the place. Hubby had the ribeye and highly recommends the “backed potato casserole “ ( if available); I had the 6 oz sirloin and it was perfect
The next morning he had an omelet w/ hashbrowns & biscuits and gravy while I had Over medium eggs w/ has browns and wheat toast.
Second night all the guys had chicken friend steak and I had the chicken with melted cheese & mushrooms
