Our reservation was for a party of six, and we were seated promptly upon arrival. The service was attentive and friendly throughout, matching the warm and inviting atmosphere others have noted in their reviews .
Now, onto the food, which was the real star of the show. For my main course, I ordered the hanger steak, and it was cooked to perfection! Juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I have to give a special shout-out to their house steak sauce, which complemented the meat beautifully without overpowering it. My wife opted for the filet and was thoroughly impressed, it was tender, cooked exactly as requested, and rivaled any steakhouse we’ve visited.
We also had the chance to sample the BBQ plate, which was very good. But the surprises came with the sides. The Miners potatoes were terrificly crispy, seasoned well, and incredibly satisfying. Even a simple side of broccoli tasted fresh and vibrant, a testament to their emphasis on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients . And you absolutely cannot skip their coleslaw as it’s a standoud. Delicious with a perfect balance of creaminess and crunch.
To top it all off, the drinks were elegant and delicious. Whether you’re a fan of craft cocktails or just looking for a well-made beverage, the bar program here does not disappoint. It’s worth noting that other guests have raved about specialties like the pecan old fashioned, so we knew we were in good hands .

First time at the restaurant and we had a great experience! The atmosphere is laid back and welcoming with an upscale, rustic feel. We sat at the bar and Corbin served us wonderful cocktails and made us feel welcome to the area! Loved chatting with him. We started with the Caesar and Beet Salads followed by the Steak Frites with Miners Potatoes and Brisket! 10 out of 10! We will absolutely be back when we are in Fredericksburg!

I can’t rave enough about this place….it’s absolutely amazing! I brought my mom and her twin here for their birthday, and everything was perfect. BBQ is way below expectations, but it was not bad. The sausage is unremarkable. Brisket was a little fatty, but the pork was great. Service was slow and we had to ask for BBQ sauce multiple times. There were at least 3 times I left the table to go fetch water, salt shaker, or something else because we were tired of waiting. The sad part is that this was around 6pm. They weren’t busy and it is mystifying why service was so terrible.
Also, the Mac and cheese was milky, however the grits and cornbread were delicious. Totally hit or a complete miss.

My family came to Mesquite at the Warehouse for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was rustic and cozy while also being classy and nice, and the service was phenomenal. We had a number of different dishes, and all of them were top notch. A sleeper that you should absolutely order if you come is the cornbread, it is crispy on the outside and they must use some kind of magic to make it so light and fluffy on the inside, I’ve never had a better bite of cornbread. Coctails were also fantastic. And being tucked into the back of a old mercantile shop gives a cool vibe to the whole experience. We will absolutely be back!

Brandon was an exceptional server from start to finish. His demeanor was warm and professional, his attitude genuinely welcoming, and his knowledge of the menu was impressive—he offered thoughtful recommendations and answered every question with ease and confidence. Even though I didn’t have the opportunity to meet the bartenders, the drinks were absolutely top-tier and clearly crafted with care. What a fantastic place. Food was delicious and will definitely come back. We tried a little bit of everything for our first time. Chips and guacamole, spinach salad, smoked chicken sandwich and beef dip. All were great choice with lots of flavor. Their homemade kettle chips are life changing.
