Social Profile:

Located just west of downtown Naperville, Mesón Sabika has been a local favorite since 1990. Set on a stunning four-acre estate, the beautifully restored 1847 mansion offers an authentic taste of Spain in an elegant, timeless setting. Guests can enjoy Spanish tapas, sangria, and fine wines while dining in one of the mansion’s eight traditionally decorated rooms, the covered four-season veranda, or on the scenic patio. The venue also hosts weddings and corporate events in the grand pavilion. For a quiet, romantic evening, we recommend a weekday reservation; weekends offer a more lively atmosphere. Our dress code is smart casual — gentlemen, please cover up. The first-floor washroom is wheelchair accessible for your convenience.

This was our first time at Meson Sabika in Naperville and our first experience trying tapas and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is beautiful and perfect for a date night or special occasion.

Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and very helpful in guiding us through the menu. I ordered the sangria flight (four varieties), and the portions were surprisingly generous and delicious. My husband had a mezcal Paloma and chose the Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu with three cold and three hot tapas. I selected two cold and two hot tapas from the regular menu, and we shared everything. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented, we left very full and satisfied!

We ended the night with coffee and dessert, which was the perfect touch. We’re already planning to return when it’s warmer to enjoy the outdoor patio. Highly recommend!

We went to Mesón Sabika for lunch after hearing a lot of great things, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype for us.

The biggest issue was the portion size. The salmon entrée came as a very thin slice, with just a few peas and a very small, almost kid-sized scoop of mashed potatoes. While the flavors were fine and we did enjoy the sauce, the overall portion felt more like a tasting plate than a lunch entrée.

Dessert was another letdown. We ordered the chocolate cake expecting it to be warm and soft, but it wasn’t warm in the middle and the texture was firm. The taste was just okay … nothing memorable. Our hostess was friendly but the manager never came to our table to ask if the food was okay.

Overall, the experience didn’t justify the expectations or the price for us. The taste was decent, but the portions and dessert were disappointing.

If you like dining inside of a historic mansion, you have to visit Meson Sabika in Naperville. This Spanish-style restaurant serves tapas- small plates of various foods, which are very flavorful and designed to share between guests. It’s a lot of fun! I have tried Champinones Rellenos, Patatas Bravas, Gambas a la Plancha, Empanada de Buey, Salmon a la Plancha, Remolacha, Albondigas con Almendras, and Salpicon de Mariscas. As a non-drinker I can’t rate their alcoholic beverages, but I sure enjoyed their virgin Sangria- tasty and packed with fresh fruit.
The interior of the restaurant is what you would expect from a historic building- carpets, chandeliers, very vintage and retro decor. This place is for those of you who can appreciate a unique atmosphere of an older house, which is still beautiful and mysterious.
The servers are very courteous and professional. Our orders were always made correctly, within a reasonable wait time. Recently we celebrated my Dad’s birthday and our server Lily brought us a surprise dessert with a candle and she sang Happy Birthday song with us! It was a wonderful experience.
Prices are not bad. You need reservations to dine at this establishment.
Meson Sabika is a great place for a date, or to hang out with family or friends. I actually went there for Valentine’s day and enjoyed their special menu and smooth, welcoming vibe. There’s also a very nice banquet hall that can be rented for special events.
Meson Sabika is surrounded by a picturesque garden, which is very romantic. You can also admire their decorative lights display. ✨️
This exquisite restaurant is located right off of Aurora Ave/Devonshire Ave, close to downtown Naperville.
I will definitely be back at this establishment for more delicious food and fun. I love, love, love Meson Sabika. Highly recommended ❤️

Meson Sabika was an amazing experience from the outside to the inside of the place. The Christmas lights all over the place was amazing.
It was our wedding anniversary! They made it special. Made a special card that very nice.
We also got some champagne.
The food was amazing! The Patatas Bravas, Tortillas Espanola and the Pasta Vegetariana were so good. Highly recommend.
The Sangra flight of Red, Prickly Pear, Elderflower and Passion Fruit were so good.
Overall 1st class experience. If you are looking for a really spot for your anniversary, birthday or etc. Come here.

My girlfriend and I came here this past Saturday to celebrate our 6-month anniversary, and overall, Mesón Sabika delivered a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding, the patio setting was beautiful, and the ambiance was perfect for a special evening. We were genuinely impressed and raving about nearly everything.

That said, there was one concern that distracted from the evening. While dining on the patio near the outer wall with trees and flowers, we noticed at least two mice running very close to our table. We fully understand that nature can be unpredictable, especially in a lush outdoor setting, but it was still surprising and unsettling during the meal.

What stood out even more, though, was how the situation was handled. When we mentioned it to our waitress, her response was fairly casual and dismissive, sharing that they had even “found a dead one the other day.” Later, when we let the manager know, his reaction felt similarly unconcerned—mentioning that the deterrents they use have actually made the mice “more social,” which didn’t exactly put us at ease.

To be clear, the quality of the food, drinks, and atmosphere was top notch—easily a 10/10. But for a restaurant of this caliber, we expected a little more care and professionalism in addressing guest concerns. We would love to return, but we hope management takes this feedback seriously so the experience can truly match the high standard that Mesón Sabika is otherwise known for.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely magical experience at Meson Sabika!
From the moment we stepped onto the beautiful four-acre estate and historic 1847 mansion setting, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance of elegant and inviting — ideal for a date night, celebration, or just a memorable meal.

The tapas menu is outstanding — every dish we tried was flavorful, creative, and perfectly portioned for sharing. The variety made it fun to explore different flavors together, and the wine and sangria pairings truly elevated the experience.
What really stood out was the service. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, pacing our courses so the evening flowed effortlessly. It genuinely felt like we were being taken care of rather than just served.
It has all the ingredients for a special night out.
Whether you’re enjoying the cozy indoor rooms or the lovely outdoor patio during warmer weather, Meson Sabika delivers a consistently exceptional dining experience. Highly recommend! ❤️

My husband’s physical therapist recommended this place when he told her he wanted to take me somewhere special to celebrate my birthday. Gustavo, our server, was outstanding! He explained how tapas are best ordered. He was attentive but never interrupted our conversation. The food was delicious and had great presentation. To top everything off, they gave me a card with a beautiful saying and a profiterole with ice cream. Mesón Sabika is located in a beautiful historical building and there is ample parking. We highly recommend this dining experience!

Love coming here for tapas every now and then. The romantic ambiance paired with a thoughtfully curated menu always makes it feel like a special night out. There are plenty of great options for both pescatarians and vegetarians, which I really appreciate. My favorites are the grilled scallops, the queso de cabra baked in tomato sauce, and the patatas bravas. And their crema catalana is always a must to end the meal on a sweet note. Used to come here for brunch and my kids loved it too.

A fantastic, reasonably priced, high quality tapas restaurant. Very cool converted mansion, with a lot of segmented dining areas. During the warmer weather months, outside dining is great. Food always arrives whenever it’s ready and I challenge you to leave hungry. The beef skewers could be my favorite thing on the menu. Simple but delicious. Try the sangria flight if you can’t decide, you won’t be disappointed. Salúd!

What a phenomenal experience! We shared 7-8 dishes and they were all killer. Top 3 favorites were pipparana de buey, queso de cabra, and jamon serrano. They also had a killer old fashioned and great Spanish wine selection. My only regret was not coming here sooner! Do not sleep on this place. The vibes and food are some of the best in the burbs!
