My favorite stop in Albuquerque! Best Gyro, WITH freshly made gluten-free flatbread no less. Every time we drive from Phoenix, this is my go to. And the proprietor is friendly, dedicated and knows his food.

Baklava is made fresh every morning – very light and far too easy to eat. The lamb gyro was exceptional – best flavored lamb I’ve had in New Mexico from a fast food service. Authentic Turkish people serving authentic delicious Turkish cuisine.

Stopped by for lunch and my wife and I both had falafel sandwiches. Service was pretty quick—we had our sandwiches in probably 7-8 minutes. It was a great day so we sat outside at Sawmill. The sandwiches were both good. I would say above average but not the most flavorful falafel I ever had. Enjoyable experience for a quick bite.

It’s rare that we find a great Mediterranean spot in the southwest, but man this hit the spot! The lamb gyro was crafted with meat right off the hot rotating shawarma stick, and the rice was so fragrant and flavorful! They include some grilled jalapeños that give this a southwest flair that nods to this location’s locals and introduced an enticing flavor profile for your palate. The tzatziki featured fresh dill, and it was the right creaminess for the gyro I ended up crafting. I snagged a bite of the fried falafel and my goodness that authentic Mediterranean flavor came thruuu. Pita was baked to perfection and the hummus was creamed to an amazing consistency. 10/10, will definitely come back.

I’m really not a fan of bad reviews, but sometimes you can’t avoid them. This little rolled-up kebab, or whatever it was supposed to be, with fries that were completely unseasoned and not even cooked through, for almost $ 20, has to be described as outrageous. What’s more, it was almost tasteless, everything. Or if I want to make a comparison for the taste, then: like granny under your arm. A real disaster.

26 Dec 2025. Tried to get an order of the chicken doner plate. People behind the counter kept bumping our order and filling other orders that were placed after ours. Still not out after waiting 30 minutes. Rest of family got and finished meals from other places. Decided to leave with the family rather than wait for food from anyplace else. Extremely dissapointed in such horrible service.

Excellent authentic Turkish food, in the heart of sawmill market. My falafel was excellent. And the owner is great fun to talk to, such good energy.

Meso Grill is a hidden treasure in Sawmill Market. The service is great, the people are always nice. The Donor Chicken plate is one of the best things at Sawmill, and maybe THE best value.
Recently we did an office party and they combined 4 orders of the chicken, but split each component into its own tray. It was a lovely presentation that they admitted they’d never done but totally nailed.

I pounded some fabulous falafel with fresh hummus and seasoned fries plus pickled veggies from here and was not disappointed! I had excellent, friendly service and would absolutely recommend for a vegan choice at Sawmill Market

Very expensive and all wraps are very dry. My friends got the lamb & chicken, I got falafel and all three were very dry, no seasoning either. The food wrap was stuck inside the sandwich and it was hard to take it out. Wouldn’t recommend
