Absolutely incredible experience here! This week, the seasonal menu had locally sourced yak and butternut squash risotto and I literally cried eating it, it was so good. Sampled wines as well as some of the seasonal cocktails they had. Everything was stellar. The espresso martini had a thick, homemade sweet cream on top that was to die for. Highly recommend and we will be back to try more of the menu next season!

Dare I say that this is the best spot in all of Colorado?! From the rotating, seasonal menu, craft cocktail program, local wine and scenery, Mesa Winds is a 12/10.
Make sure to snag a reservation and leave plenty of time to enjoy the whole experience! 20% Gratuity is already included, and it allows the meal to be enjoyed at the pace is was designed to be and allows the staff to give exceptional service! Serena is the best! Most days the Chef, Angelina, is out on the floor greeting customers and enhancing the meal. Mesa winds is a labor of love and a true farm to table meal that is not to be missed!

Absolutely love this place! The food is incredible – small portions but well worth it. Their selection of wines is almost entirely local and they were extremely knowledgeable about each wine. Highly recommend spending a quiet autumn afternoon here with a glass of their own Chardonnay.

Mesa Winds is magical. The FOOD, wine, cocktails, setting, atmosphere and hospitality. The views of the mountains are breathtaking, the flowers on each table, the stone wall enclosing the patio dining area. If you peek over the wall you’ll see farm animals living their best lives and the gardens where the product is grown for your incredible meal. We’ve had brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktail hours there, each one better than the next. The food and cocktails are ALWAYS creative and delicious!! This is the place that is at the top of my list to take out of town guests and I always recommend to everyone I meet looking for excellent all around experience. You have to experience it. My words and photos don’t do it justice.

I just became aware of Mesa Winds this summer. I am so impressed by the food, the service and the beautiful environment! It’s wonderful to sit on the patio with a glass of wine, looking out at the sheep and the beautiful mountains in the background! Everything I’ve tried has been delicious. We look forward to the new menu on Wednesday and the brunch auditions are on Sunday!

Best food in the county. Angelic and Dan do a fantastic job with food and their great wines! We try to visit on Friday, Saturday or Sunday when their small outdoor cafe is open! Excellent wine selections. Estate bottled or jammy reds are fantastic!

What a great place. Beautiful views, and the wine is among the best in Colorado. Most of their grapes are from Palisade, but I think they use some of their own too.

My husband and I went here after Karen from Stone Cottage Cellars said how amazing it was. I don’t think there are words that can truly describe the magic of this place. First, walking in, it’s so charming, with a gorgeous view and flowers all around you. Everyone working there is so kind and friendly; we felt so welcome!
Let’s get to the important stuff: the food. Wow. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a meal this much in years! Every item we had the pleasure of experiencing was either freshly picked that day from their farm, or from other local farms (such as goat cheese from Western Culture Farm). Their wines were amazing — I suggest the Viognier, it’s one of the best I’ve had. Their bruschetta with peaches, tomatoes, cucumbers and olives has become my new favorite food. The colors and flavors in them just blew me away. I haven’t had such flavorful produce in the US before, and it was such a treat. And, everything they grow is organic! The corn chowder was heavenly — just the right blend of sweetness from the corn; it was so flavorful, creamy, and satisfying without feeling heavy. The homemade soda was amazing too — it was basil cucumber, and somehow it was sweet, refreshing, and the flavors were just perfect. The chef’s masterful skill at bringing flavors together is a reason to visit all on its own! Dessert was a peach semifreddo (if I remember the term correctly) and it was pure heaven! The delightful lady who was serving us described it like eating a frozen cloud, and she was totally right. I loved all the textures in it, and the flavors the chef brought together with the peaches in it! Wow!

In fact, my husband and I loved it so much that we went right back the next day for brunch, and ordered the same foods. I’m usually all about variety, but I couldn’t imagine eating anything else after the perfection we experienced! We purchased a produce box from them too, and they generously loaded us up with all sorts of amazing goodies that I’ve been using at home ever since. They’ve spoiled us for food anywhere else! Having their produce for our ingredients takes all my recipes to a new level; you can feel all the love that went into growing them.

TLDR: This may be the best food you eat in your whole life, and you will feel so good being nurtured by things that are so healthy, beautiful, and unbelievably delicious. The food presentation and the view around you are works of art. The wine is absolutely delightful too! It’s worth the drive from our home in Golden just for this one spot. If for some tragic reason you haven’t been here yet and experienced their magic, change that right now.
