Today the breakfast menu was very simple. Breakfast burritos –
hand held $7 or smothered $9

Staying at Ojo and wanting some authentic New Mexico food ~ this was the place!
A reminder of simple things and friendly people. Huge portions, delish, affordable.

This is a must stop! We stopped in on a whim on our way to Colorado and tried their smothered burrito with both red and green chili sauce and by far it was the best chili sauce we had in Santa Fe. The serving size was great along with the price and our server was very friendly. We would definitely stop again if ever on this road.

I ordered the cheeseburger and fries. The food at Mesa Vista Cafe was excellent. The waitress was attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend it if you’re passing through.

Amazing northern NM food, mean green chile, and great staff. Cannot complain. This is one of those hole in the wall family restaurants that really knows what they’re doing. 10/10 must stop if you’re in the area.

Visited at 12:30pm on Saturday December 27th (during posted open hours, both on the front door and on Google). It was not open. There was no sign saying “Sorry, closed for the holidays”.

It may be permanently closed. Wasted time driving here. If the owner’s read this, please post your current hours. Customers will understand. Thanks. And if you respond to this review with an update, I’ll be happy to revise up from 3 stars.

Now this is an Absolute Gem in the rough country. From the homestead tools and equip to the cast iron butter churns. You find something cool about the pictures and history. The Lady is a darling and so friendly and nice, Never once let my coffee go dry. Even made a fresh pot just for me. The food is homemade and cooked to order and could not be better even by special request. If you are passing through you would be derelict in your duty if you didn’t stop in for a bite.

Wish it was open around the time we leave Ojo Caliente starving!
I absolutely love this restaurant! Better than any fancy, Santa Fe restaurant with fake food and over rated chefs. It has all.of the ingredients of the so-called “hole in the wall” – absolutely love it!

Lovely little hole in the wall restaurant. The decor leaves much to be desired, but it lends to the overall charm of this place. The food was great and the service was too. We will definitely be back.

The staff were so friendly and nice. The burger was fantastic but the chicken enchiladas with green were even better. And they have the best biscochitos I ever had. The pie was freshly baked and tasted amazing. They also had fresh jam. Everything was fresh and good
