Black Friday rejuvenated with good food.
I took my son to the new Dirty Drummer on Country Club & Brown. We live just down the street, and when I saw the door open and heard they had new owners, we decided to stop in. I’m so glad we did—it was fun from the moment we walked in!
Our server Holly was super sweet and greeted us right away. The food came out fast and everything was really good. The fried zucchini and the seasoned fries were delicious, and the prices were great too.
Growing up in Mesa, it’s nice to see this place looking good and feeling welcoming again. Definitely worth checking out!

I haven’t been here in years… They were closed for the longest time and I just happened to be in the area craving a burger…
So I ordered a Double Cheeseburger since some places the patties are really small – NOT HERE…
The Double Cheeseburger is huge here with all the fixings and two slices of cheese made right before your eyes (if you sit at the bar, which I did)… Very well seasoned and the service is excellent. If you like Onion Rings, definitely have to ask for Onion Rings instead of Fries (current menu offers ‘Fries or Onion Rings’) as they are absolutely delicious…
I’ll definitely be back sooner than you think. $18 for a 1/2 LB burger, GREAT Onion Rings and a Drink – You’ll pay almost the same at Burger King for a Whopper Meal…
So if you like Burgers and Onion Rings – Give Mesa Drummer a try – you will not be disappointed…

This place was empty, the bartender took forever to make our drinks. We had to pay first and when I looked at the bill it was $12 a drink. At first I thought okay maybe it will be a good drink. Well I thought wrong she handed me a short glass of vodka and cranberry. Absolutely disappointed and annoyed. I then asked for a manager or boss and the bartender said well the others work here and walked away.
I would never recommend coming here, don’t spend your money here it’s not worth it.

Stopped by for a drink before a baseball game at Hohokam stadium. Excellent customer service, staff is awesome, and such a fun vibe even at 12:30 in the afternoon. Music is if you like old school R&B.

Avoid Place At All Cost Stopped in over the weekend was pretty empty I figured better for me went to patio area to smoke and wait for food to see someone cutting a kids Hair and someone Cleaning bar stools on railing like is this ur patio area for customers ? or an area for others to do as they Please very unprofessional bar tender said food was good Absolutely not it’s straight garbage kitchen looks like it’s hasn’t changed sense the 70’s

They double charged me, had 3 pints and they charged me for 6. They said it was because of the glass even though this is the same as a 16oz pint glass. They also charge auto gratuity and don’t make it known. Don’t come here.

Loved this bar before but I guess it is under new ownership and I was really disappointed. We thought we would try it out since we haven’t been in a couple of years. I ordered one drink. Yes I know I ordered top shelf liquor. That was not the issue we ordered The buffet unaware of the price, but I was worth it for what you get because it was all you can eat. Once I got my original receipt I was charged for two margaritas and I had to tell the bartender I only had one with that being said I then noticed that there was a 20 to 25% gratuity charge on each of the bills , the service was great but the bartender only made me one drink and the other lady with the buffet food was the one making my food. Why wasn’t she the one receiving a tip? I don’t think that the bartender in the staff should’ve received that big of a tip for only one drink even considering my husband had water I have only found gratuity to be added on fine dining restaurants, not a neighborhood local bar. I am extremely disappointed with the price range for two people to have a meal and one drink. Our bill was close to $200. I have been to multiple fine dining restaurants, and our bill was close to the same range.

Hadn’t been to this dive (said Lovingly!) in probably 12 years, and stopped by to play some pool. Well done remodel, and my nostalgic heart was happy to see the same ol’ signs on the bathrooms doors haha. Free pool, cheap cocktails, friendly staff & owners! We had eaten elsewhere but even so the menu was tempting, and checking out some of these other reviews makes it seem like I need to get down here for Sunday brunch! Really happy to see this place in the hands of locals and definitely makes me want to come back to throw my support and dollars their way. We’ll be back!

avoid this place at all cost. would not recommend. over priced drinks. they say dive bar . not true . happy hour menu. over priced specials. there wings are big. can get them grilled or battered. got mine battered. batter no seasoning and taste like the fried them in old grease messed up my order. i saw a couple other reviews where people also got gratuity added to there bill. i was by myself lucky i caught it and didnt add a tip. so if you go double check you bill.
