This is an awesome drive in restaurant. It has been in business since 1958. The burgers and hot dogs are reasonably priced and really great. The hot dogs come in top slice buns. The hot dogs taste and look like bright-leaf (red dog). The slaw and the chili are both excellent. The service is great and the atmosphere being a drive in is awesome. This is one of my favorite places to eat. Its not fancy or some expensive gourmet burger but it is excellent for what it is.

Merritt’s is a throwback for anyone looking for a drive in burger experience. At Merritt’s you pull up in your car and wait for one of the waitresses to come to your car window. You have the option of getting your food to go or on a tray that attaches to your window. They are cash only, open from 10-4, and there is no indoor seating.

A truly drive in restaurant! Not a seat outside the building or inside. You bring your seats with you. I have a “standing order” with them now. Food prices are excellent.

Today I had the double cheeseburger with fries. The food was delicious, wish they did grilled onions but that’s just my obsession with onions talking. It’s got a sonic vibe where you wait in your car to be served without the do it yourself technology so have patients they’ll get to you. My server was Melody I believe, she provided outstanding service and was moving quick from car to car, make sure you take care of her it isn’t easy working outside taking care of people like that. Would definitely recommend this place, it was a bit of nostalgia reminding me of a few places from my childhood that have since closed.

Absolutely delicious food at an unbeatable price. Double cheeseburger loaded with the fixins fries & tea for 2 people was under $15. Service was great and love the atmosphere of an old style drive in.
