Came here before playing at the golf course, the best breakfast I’ve had! As someone who eats gluten free, it was such a treat to be able to read a whole menu dedicated to gluten free items. I had the corn beef hash omelette and we all split the blueberry cream cheese stuffed French toast… so delicious! The homemade whipped cream was insanely fresh. We will definitely be back.

Merriland Farm Cafe is such a charming cafe! It’s nestled in a residential area right next to a golf course. They have a few seating options available: an outside patio, a “garden room” with high tops and bigger tables for groups, and a classic dining room area. The food was delicious and fresh! I’d recommend making a reservation or getting there when it opens as it can get busy and they may turn away walk-ins. Service was a little slow. Overall, I would recommend and visit again!

This was an absolutely brilliant find on our last day of vacation. This was our first trip to Maine and although the scenery is breathtaking the food has been lacking . Until we had breakfast here . The food was of outstanding quality and well seasoned and delicious. The staff was welcoming and super attentive without hovering and the patio dining was beautiful. If I could give them 10 stars I would . We will definitely be back.

This place is truly a hidden gem!!
Did we wait for our table w a reservation? yes. Did we wait a little bit for our food? Yes.
Was it worth it? 100%!!
They were short handed and definitely hustling but the manager came over with a tea bread (amazing)for the table and let us know right away. The food was delicious and hot when served there was a small error with an order and it was fixed very quickly.
Can’t speak highly enough for liz and the Merriland farm Cafe team .
DEFINITELY recommend a reservation and the crepes

Great food and great service!

My friend and I were walk-in, arrived at 9am and were told it would be about an hour wait. It’s such a peaceful spot that we ended up finding a spot to sit nearby the parking until we were seated.

Food came fast and was delicious! Great GF (gluten free) options. And, our serving staff and the hostess were very friendly.

**Also note: Slightly comical and also disheartening to read reviews of other patrons not having some patience and grace for staff at the Café during peak tourism season. Your serving staff are humans – please treat them so. There’s a risk in trying to walk-in any spots in coastal and southern ME in summer and early fall seasons – so keep that in mind. It’s well worth the wait and I recommend if you’re on a time crunch to reserve a table ahead of time.

Nice retreat. Outdoor seating feels refreshing. Omelette was great and not oversized like in similar places . Server forgot to inform us they do also eggs any style (which wasn’t on the menu), we heard that from adjacent table. Otherwise treat

Delicious food in a cute and cozy setting. The sausage and pepper omelet was amazing and we could tell that all the ingredients were fresh.

Highly suggest visiting here! If I lived in Maine, I would return. Jocelyn, the manager, was training a new hostess and was educational, kind, composed, and friendly during a chaotic busy time. They were transparent with wait times/delays and still managed to deliver highly valued customer service. The whole team seemed to work together fluidly and help eachother. Our server, Olivia, was fabulous and genuine. They spoke to us as if we were fast friends, which I love. Frankie, the busser, was hustling to get tables ready and assist where needed. Thank you to everyone on staff for a 10/10 experience and delicious food!!!! Jocelyn said the wait was worth it and she could not have been more correct!!!!

I’m going to jump right in with food, but if you want a tl;dr – go here. Why are you reading this when you can be going here? You’re wasting precious time that COULD be used getting this food.

I’ll start with my food, the Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes. I got mine with Maine Maple Syrup. The brightness of the blueberries is beautifully rounded out by the buttery richness of the cake itself. I tried it with the chantilly cream that came with my fiancees crepes and dear sweet lord baby Jesus it brought a tear to my eye.

Speaking of the crepes, my fiancee ordered the lemon crepes with strawberry coulis. The tang of those fruits combined with the crepes and cream made the bite that I received memorable to say the least.

The sides, contrary to their name, nearly stole the show. The grilled muffin (orange, cherry and chocolate when we went) was lovely, the bacon straight-up melts in your mouth, and the house potatoes made us feel like fools for requesting condiments before trying them (we ended up going without using them upon taking a first bite).

To summarize, it’s hard to recall a breakfast as delicious, filling, and sensitive-stomach-safe as the meal we were graced with at Merriland Farm Cafe. We were seated immediately without a reservation, but I would happily wait an hour for a table should the need arise at a later visit. Our server, Tracy, was not only incredibly attentive to our table, but was immensely helpful to a table with severe dietary restrictions near us (Tracy, you rocked it!) An absolute triumph of a meal and a must-try when you’re in the area.

P.S – the cold brew was amazing as well ^-^

Absolutely delightful experience at Merriland Farm Cafe in Maine! Tracy, our server, was an absolute gem—super friendly and attentive. The blueberry pancakes were a berry lover’s dream, the veggie omelette was packed with garden goodness, and the stuffed French toast? Let’s just say it was stuffed with happiness. We left with full bellies and big smiles. Highly recommend!
