Really enjoyed my time here and the quality of service. My only slight complain was that the octopus was slightly overcooked. The Aguachile was definitely my MVP of the night because of how fresh it tasted.

You can instantly tell the customers love this place. First of all there are lots of people dining and smiling and eating and drinking and it is always fun to be in a busy bustling happy place.
I always love a seat at the bar so nice when dining alone.
Wow even homemade rustic bread!
And wild boar sausage ok yeah.
Love the Grenache from Sierra de Gredos, Spain. A light red wine that goes with seafood is a chef’s kiss touch of class.
Of course some Cava to start.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience at Merotoro! We came because of the 2024 Michelin recommendation, and it completely lived up to the hype. The fish was perfectly cooked—fresh, delicate, and full of flavor. The duck was a standout: incredibly tender and rich, truly melt-in-your-mouth. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a refined yet approachable meal in CDMX. We’ll definitely be back!

Grabbed a late lunch / early dinner here while exploring Condesa. It was off peak so the restaurant wasn’t crowded. Overall, the service was attentive. My salad and entree were just ok. Nothing memorable. The prices are a bit high for what you get in return, but it is in an expat / touristy area so expected. I’d return.

In the week I spent down there, this was the best dinner I had in CDMX, and I think that is high praise as the city is filled with great food options. They bill their menu as ‘northern Mexican’ but it struck me as contemporary fare with a strong Mexican flair. The two things I ordered are good examples. First, a rice dish with crab, chorizo and sweetbreads, which was excellent. Then, tartare with grasshoppers, which came with blue corn tortillas and a habanero sauce. This was an absolute standout; I love tartare and this may have been the best I’ve ever had! I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Great meal at Merotoro on recommendation from our hotel’s concierge. Managed to get a very last minute reservation on a fairly busy evening. Lovely setting with the front of the restaurant open to the street.
Starters of tiger’s milk cerviche and beef tartare with insects were very good. Mains of fish (salmon) and pork were OK, perhaps too many different flavours going on. Lovely camembert desert. Service generally ok if a bit stilted. Would recommend.
