Ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer and couldn’t even eat them. They were terrible.
Ordered the catfish, and it was more breading than fish. Picked off all the breading and only ate the fish.
Didn’t even offer hushpuppys or slaw with the fish. I asked about it and was told you can only get those with the catfish at lunchtime. When my salad came, it had a very small container, half filled with dressing. I had to ask for more dressing.
My friend ordered the Ruben and was told if she got any other side other than french fries that it would be an upcharge.
When our waitress asked if everything was OK, we let her know we were unhappy with our meal and were not even discounted or replaced for the app we didn’t eat. She just started taking all our plates up and gave us the check. I paid and left.
I definitely don’t recommend it, and no, I will not be back. For the price of what I had to pay for my meal, I expected much more than what I received.

My third time eating at merle’s this time with a larger group of ladies for lunch. Nicole was our server and she was wonderful. She was prompt, dealt with separate checks was very nice. We had pork sandwiches that were delicious, cheese burgers always the BEST and the park chop. We really enjoyed our luncheon and the excellent atmosphere! Thank you Terry Merle’s is my favorite spot in town.

This seems to be a local hang out spot for quite a few people, there was plenty of room during their dinner crowd for more folks to come in and eat. They’ve got their regular dining room, tables in the bar area, plus outdoor seating available. There’s a stage near the bar for live music. Gal bartending was nice. I had their fried jalapeños (not too spicy- but flavorful) with ranch and some chocolatey dessert with nuts and marshmallow in it that I don’t recall the name of (delicious, very rich). My husband had a BLT (very yummy bacon) with fries. Would eat here again. Their breakfast menu seems like something I’d like to try- pretty affordable and they offer many things a là carte.

This was my first visit to Merle’s. I had the cheeseburger, with fries. The burger was very good, fresh, and hot. The French fries were good also. Another person in our group had the ribeye steak dinner. He commented that it is was juicy, delicious and prepared well. We went on trivia night which was Thursday night. The parking lot was full, so some of our group had to park across the street. Trivia was a good time, the noise level in there was really loud. It was hard to hear each other speak. I have seen several negative reviews, but everyone in our group thought it was good, and the service was excellent even though they were extremely busy.

Very nice place for a meal. We were there for an early supper and it wasn’t too crowded. It was a little pricey, but most places are nowadays. 12$ for just a hamburger is a steep price, in my opinion. It was good tho. It comes with French fries and these were the thick steak fries. They have some great tap beer selections as well.

My complaint was the amount we were charged!
We had 2 beers and 2 margaritas with 2 cheeseburgers and our total was $86.00.
Drink prices were not posted but the burgers were $13 each.
So were the drinks $15 each??
Too much!! Also the waitress never brought us receipt after we paid cash.
Won’t be back!

So me and my folks went here for Mother’s Day dinner tonight.
The good first. The waitress was lovely. Very friendly and sweet. She seemed a bit overwhelmed but she did say she was new. She did a wonderful job and we could haven’t have asked for better. The cake was moist and tasted amazing. Restaurant is clean and the staff are all friendly and doing amazing for being at such a new establishment.
The bad. The ribeye was very flavorless and thin, and very fatty. A good 40% if the meat was just fat. The ribs where very dry. And it felt like the food was rushed out.
Overall a good experience though. Will come back. It’s still early and every restaurant has to find its footing.
