Somewhat disappointing and unlucky experience for me. I’ve been wanting to try this place out for a while as I’ve heard lots of good things about their signature item, the grilled wet Frankenstein wings. I drive almost 40 min from Deltona and arrive at 11:30am. I confidently order 20 grilled wet Frankenstein drums, only to be told that because today is Super Bowl Sunday that they are not offering the grilled wet wings. Needless to say I am taken aback by this, not only because it’s the first I’ve heard about it, but also because the game itself isn’t starting for another SEVEN HOURS, and the restaurant isn’t even crowded. Dejectedly, I get the wings extra crispy fried Frankenstein. After receiving the wings, they aren’t even all that crispy, so I’m left wondering if they got my order wrong or if ordering them extra crispy doesn’t actually impact the final product. Either way, the wings were pretty tasty but nothing to write home about, and the homemade bleu cheese dressing could be described similarly, as it had a good amount of bleu cheese crumbles in it, but the texture of the dressing had a store bought sliminess to it which keeps it from being top tier. I wasn’t at the restaurant a particularly long period of time, and in the time I was, I overheard people at three other tables attempt to order grilled wet wings and be denied. I imagine every server had to say that about a thousand times that day lol. Kinda sucks that you’re unable to make your most famous food item anytime it gets busy.

It’s a bar vibe and it’s done very well! Service was prompt enough with drinks being served quickly. I ordered the 10 “FRANKENSTEIN” Wings – grilled and they were cooked beautifully and served quick and hot. The wings are good sized wings so 10 were very filling. The flavor of the sauce – Delish!!!!!
My partner ordered the Taco Salad Bowl and he gave it a solid 5 saying it was very good.

One of those local gems that actually lives up to the hype.

This spot was a word-of-mouth find, and honestly? Worth it. The house-made sauces are the stars, especially the white Zinfandel vinaigrette on my salad. Simple greens, but that dressing? Next level.

Tried the Frankenstein boneless wings, killer sauce, wings were just okay. Fried mushrooms were solid, and I’d absolutely come back just to dip those in the Frankenstein sauce.

Service was warm and attentive, with nonstop refills (even on water, which hit the spot after a hot-day walk). Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for laid-back eats with flavor that surprises you.

Your local bar with the best wings in town. Great place to go for lunch or dinner. Has pool tables, trivia nights and some games. Pricing depends on your person.

First time in yesterday 12/8. Service was 110%. Beer teeth chattering cold. The wings were spot on got the HOT flavor. Bleu cheese was superior. Will definitely visit again soon. Super fun place and the laid back atmosphere is spot on. Highly recommend Merks for any putting. Something for

Whoa! I literally just walked in as a black masculine presenting female and used the bathroom then sat down at the bar, and I was greeted by a white dude with dark hair at the bar. He said what’s up? What can I get for you? Wearing a lynch/noose around his neck. I just looked down at it while hanging up my phone call in disbelief slowly. I don’t know if that was some symbolic n-words aren’t allowed or just some excuse to broadcast how racist he is, yeah… just maybe it was for Halloween. Smh. He then asked me did I want something to drink? I just got up out of my seat and walked out. My spirit doesn’t lie. I’m pretty sure that gesture was blatant communication that I wasn’t welcome there, Halloween or not it was completely disrespectful with a smirk on his face & not welcoming to a paying customer who drove 20 minutes as a referral from a client I cut earlier today. I was really looking forward to trying the “cheesesteak” with pickles and banana peppers. But, nah. I’ll go to Jersey Mikes! Wow, I am sitting in my Corvette C7 in complete disgusted shock. Like, it’s 2025!!! REPENT!! Because these kind of people will burn in hell for racism. Trust and believe your ancestors are already burning. What a shame. Have a blessed night. May God have mercy on your souls. Jokes on YOU! sir.

Now, ironically, this truck pulled up behind my Corvette C7, as I was on my way out, and they rolled the windows down, and to my surprise, I noticed it was other black people when the gentleman came out with the food I asked him, did he see someone behind the bar? Wearing a noose? He said, no. I asked again.. in disbelief you didn’t see someone in there wearing a lynch rope around their neck? He said, no…not at all. & that he wasn’t the only black guy in there. There was another one playing pool. I said, huh? Is that right? When I was in there, there wasn’t anyone playing pool. There was my confirmation that he put that on “just for me”.

Then a white dude comes out the door looks for me and whistles like he aint do nothing. I’m pretty sure that this was the guy who had that around his neck and he came back out here just now for the third time and he keeps looking out the window to see if I’ve left yet. Wow.. what a coward. Wow, do better, do better. Smfh.

Great service! Great happy hour ! We went on a Thursday and we shared the beer pitcher specials for $7. We got there a bit before 3 and the crowds were pouring in ! Definitely worth a stop! We went to Flagler ave a couple of days ago and were very disappointed with crappy drinks !
Definitely would go here again when back in the area !

I really enjoyed the food here. Spiteful kitchen staff… sent food back the the kitchen. That was a big mistake! Worst stomach pain ever. Took the remaining home which my son ate.. same stomach pain. (No meat was in the take out) The rest of the table that didn’t consume the sent back food no issues.
You’ve been warned. ⚠️

Solid no frills locals spot. Wings are worth the hype. Hopefully you get Elaina as your server or bartender because she’s easily the best one there!

Even though we came for the pool game tournament, it just seemed unorganized. The people though are amazing! The Frankenstein wings are so good, a little spicy but so good. Small hole in the wall place next to the bowling alley. Must try wings.
