The atmosphere at this coffee shop is so authentic and local. This was my first time here, Valeria peocises excellent recommendations. I came for a short business meeting, and was surrounded like-minded individuals. The noise level is moderate, the coffee and customer service is amazing! The selfishness in me only wants to recommend to locals but that would be a dishonor to tourists lol

Cherry blossom matcha is a beautiful drink!
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it has to be on my favorites list. I asked which ones were popular matcha drinks? I was told the strawberry matcha & the cherry blossom matcha are the most popular matcha drinks they serve. That’s why I tried it & I’m glad I did. I also purchased an egg cup, but that was too overdone for my liking.
This is a popular place, busy inside & can be difficult to find parking as well as a table to sit at.

Five stars for the atmosphere and beverages! I’ve tried the s’more latte, candy cane mocha, and a cappuccino and I’ve loved each one. The latte art never fails and they make the best cappuccino in San Antonio (from what I have tried so far). Every time I’ve gone in around 10am-12pm and it is very busy so seating can be tricky. I haven’t tried their pastries/food yet so I can only speak to their drinks which are 10/10

I walked in never having Matcha before and have been wanting to try it… the lady at the front talked me through their best selling and which ones she preferred. I ordered 2 just to be safe! I loved both of them, especially the Banana Cream Pudding Matcha! YUM! She also recommended almond milk with peach, and also super good!

The staff is friendly and helped me pick the lemon loaf. I ordered an iced matcha latte. Thankfully, their matcha isn’t sweetened. It was good overall but I prefer hot matcha to iced. That’s on me, not them but iced matcha tastes more like milk than matcha. Silver lining – I LOVE their ice! It’s like having mini icebergs in your cups.

This Merit location is one of the more spacious locations that I’ve been to, even though we only got the last open table (it was a Monday morning). It’s good for short periods of remote working, studying, and/or checking emails. It has WiFi and pretty stable for the time we were there. But it’s hard to take work meetings or phone calls. Overall the environment is very chatty and cozy. Coffee is the same as other Merit coffee shops which is good, I can’t tell the difference.

The coffee and the atmosphere itself is good, but unfortunately the customer service really takes away from the experience. The staff seemed nonchalant and more focused on chatting among themselves than paying attention to customers. Didn’t even call us when our order was ready. By the time we realized, the coffee was lukewarm. Overall not a good experience.

Extremely slow when getting coffee. There were 4 employees but only one as the barista. Once I got my coffee the milk was burnt making the coffee bitter. I attempted to get a refund but the line was too long
