I’m going to say something slightly controversial: Old Village is superior to downtown Plymouth.

And, Meridian Coffee Co. is one of the reasons.

There is a truly local core at the heart of the neighborhood and it couldn’t be more apparent here. As soon as you step in you’re greeted warmly by the kindest staff and most cozy space. There’s art on the walls from a famed local bon vivant, fresh pastries, and a rotation of lattes from the heavens. They’ll even make you your favorite from last season, if you’re one to stick with ‘the usual’ and their roasts are all lovely on their own without added flavor, for the record.

Supporting local is so important and building community through these small businesses adds an allure to a neighborhood that isn’t easily replicated by large chains.

So, here’s to Meridian and Old Village, may you live long and prosper!

I stopped in here on my way out of town from the Zach Bryan concert because I prefer local coffee shops if I can get them! This coffee is sooo good!! I bought a bag of their medium roast coffee to take home just to try it and I hope I can talk them into shipping me a few bags! It’s one of the best beans I’ve used in my home espresso machine and my French press!! Get a coffee, buy a bag of beans, you won’t be sorry!

Lovely little cafe just outside downtown Plymouth. The staff was sitting on the floor behind the counter when I came in but got up and were friendly. My cortado was ok but the coffee flavor didn’t come through very strong. I really love that they have coffee options that I don’t see at a lot of coffee shops in the U.S. though (i.e., cortado, macchiato). I also bought some beans to take home so I’m excited to try those. There were quite a few people working from their laptops. I enjoyed my coffee while reading my kindle and it was very peaceful.

Stopped here on a whim, took my first sip and said “oh, wow!” (Holiday latte w/caramel, hazelnut and pistachio). Plus they had a vegan option for sweet treats, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff. Will definitely come back when I’m in the area.

By far my favorite coffee shop in town. Everyone is so friendly, their coffee is always perfect.
It’s a great spot for a quick delicious cup of coffee or sit down with a book.
My son & I had a quick little break with 2 of their holiday lattes and then would perfection!

Meridian Coffee Co. is such a gem! The coffee is always top-notch — rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed every time. The baristas are friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to love what they do. The shop has a warm, inviting vibe that makes it perfect for working, studying, or just relaxing with friends. Their pastries and seasonal drinks are also amazing — definitely worth trying!

Highly recommend stopping by — you’ll leave in a good mood and probably with your new favorite coffee spot.

I would give ambience a . Lady there is so respectful and very patient to help me with my selection. Coffee tastes so good. I would definitely go there again. No wonder they have regulars dropping by to say hi to them. Overall a pleasant experience

First time visiting & it is such a cute place! I love that they have plenty of outside seating and indoor too. Their menu is extensive and I love that you can get a variety of items from non-caffeinated drinks to matcha, coffee, lattes, and can make them iced/hot. I did look at the drink menu before walking in because I didn’t know what to expect. They also have a great selection of pastries from sweet to savory that they offer for you to get toasted. I got the meridian spring time chai latte & basil and feta pastry. The drink was slightly sweeter for my liking but it had both vanilla and lavender so that’s a given. Doesn’t taste floral at all but I did try something out of my usual which is anything coffee. The pastry was huge and flaky. I’ll definitely try a hot or iced coffee next time.

Delicious coffee that has clearly had a lot of thought and passion poured into it. I like my coffee black and both Ethiopian pour over and cold brew are delicious. My wife is in love with the pistachio latte – with oat milk. Service is very quick too. I’ll be back for offerings from Cannelle too. There are no better pastries or baked goods and I’m thrilled about someone local to me carrying them.

Excellent brew quality, nice atmosphere, friendly folks. Very helpful and patient if you aren’t sure of your order, but also the kind of place that recognizes a regular when they walk in.
