This place charges $9 per taco. I asked them why they overcharged me for two tacos when the menu clearly says 3 tacos and they said it’s because it’s beef fajita. A $9 beef fajita taco sound right to you? I asked the manager if he would fix it and he said no after charging a take out fee and giving them a $3 tip. Terrible service and terrible prices for mediocre food. The place is a dump and cluttered as soon as you walk in. There are 1000 Mexican restaurants in Houston with better service, food, atmosphere, and prices.

Man, Merida did not disappoint.
Walked in with a party of 7 and was seated immediately, no wait time. The first section was full so we had the whole second section to ourselves. Food was good, fast, fresh and plenty to take home.
Everyone was full and satisfied.
First time visiting and will recommend.

I walked in here getting a regular margarita on my mind, but the margaritas seem expensive with no liquor and all I was drinking was syrup. I was pretty upset that I turned around after I finished my margarita and the lady on the phone she didn’t even service me completely. Overall I feel the food here could be possibly good but the margaritas is something you should not get.

I have been here before when I was younger. Definitely a different vibe on the weekday compared to the weekend. I think my server was preoccupied with the evening closing of the restaurant due to an event. But as along the food was good and I wasn’t bothering anyone. I’m good.

This place NEVER disappoints. I can ALWAYS count on a scrumptious breakfast . This is definitely a hidden gem. I ordered the JUMBO breakfast taco. This taco can feed 2 people. You only need 1 taco to be satisfied. I highly recommend everyone to at least try once and you will not be disappointed.

So disappointed how they treat their own employees. Unfortunately, I have witnessed 2 separate occasions them being very unprofessional with them in front of their customers. I’m sorry; the owner needs to attend people skills classes. Today they took about 30 mins to bring my incorrect plate. Then told the waitress she had to pay for the error because we asked for them to remove the charge of the plate . I’m like seriously it was an honest mistake, you should not be charging her. Money hungry and inconsiderate. I can’t imagine how they treat their employees behind the scene. I’m not going back not because of the food, but because of the way they treat their employees. How sad.

I came here to breakfast with my trio. The portions size was great, I even had half the torta to take home. It did taste like Tex Méx tho which I’m not very fond of. The service was slow but our server was very friendly. It looked Mexican , had the music to match but internally Tex Mex! If you like Tex mex this place is for you.

I went to Merida for my last visit tonight. We had been many times, and had been seeing a slow decline in quality of food and service. Tonight I had a Yucatan steak – grilled ribeye – that I couldn’t cut without shaking the table. When the waiter came by to ask if it was Ok, i told him it was terrible. Nothing was done about it. No apologies, no offer of compensation.
My wife had the caldo de pollo and that was Ok, albeit a bit bland. Chips were broken into bits ……and the place was empty. It is very reasonably priced, with plenty of parking, but that won’t save it.
