This was a cute little café type of place with a very pleasant, quaint patio. The service was exceptional and whatever I had for lunch was amazing. I especially loved the onions that Tasted like they were pickled in some type of vinegar or lemon lime. They were a wonderful accent to the rest of the food. Their coffee was also really good. I wish I could remember the name of our waitress because she was very sweet and the manager or owner also stopped by our table to ask how we were doing. I would definitely recommend to friends or relatives. And we will definitely be back.

Very clean medium to small dining area. Nicely decorated, great service and the food was great. Recommend the Churrasco steak with Mofongo. Did not have dessert but their fruit shakes are a great substitute.

I went with my family to have lunch . The place is nicely decorated but the music (merengue or salsa) is really, really loud !! The food was ok , some dishes better than others, but it took a long time to arrive (30-40’). A bit pricey for what you get . The smoothies were very good. I don’t like to be charged a “service fee” and also a 20 % mandatory tip! I think it’s too much !!!

My wife and I recently visited Merengue for the 1st time. When we walked in we liked the look and the design of the place. We were greeted immediately and instantly seated. We ordered Chuleta Can Can ( Pork Chop Chicharon ) for 2 with white rice, salad and tostones. Our waitress Vanessa who by the way was awesome and very attentive gave us a free sample of their arroz con gandules. When I tell you that arroz con gandules was amazing. When she brought our food out our 1st impression was the presentation of the food was very nicely plated. The pork chop can Can was very crispy and flavorful. Overall my wife and I were very happy with our overall experience at Merengue. We give you 2 thumbs up

We popped in here for a quick lunch and found a lovely spot! The lunch specials had a nice variety of options. The food was very fresh and tasty. The house hot sauce was enjoyable. Everything came out quickly. I also just enjoyed the aesthetic and vibe. Our server Destiny was sweet too. Definitely worth a visit.

Mandatory tip and a service charge is a big no for us, we reserve the right to tip more or less depending on the service. The food is very expensive for the type of casual place that it is. Salad is shredded lettuce with tiny pieces of tomato and cucumber and a mediterranean oil and vinegar dressing. The smoothies are good but again pricey also an upcharge for milk instead of water blend. We took friends and they were also surprised when they got their bill. Flan is dense and flat with a burnt taste, don’t recommend it. Almost 100.00 for lunch, we won’t be going back

We went to dine here because of such high ratings. However, I must say that the food did not meet our expectations, the churrasco was great, the octopus appetizer was bland, the seafood did taste fresh but was really under seasoned. Everything is cooked to order, which is really nice. The flan made up for what ever wasn’t as enjoyed, excellent flan! The weighted Juan had great customer service, smiled and checked on us often, he truly is an asset to the restaurant and that’s why we specifically mentioned him… gracias Juan por tan excelente servico… fue un placer tenerlo a usted servirnos!
