Mercy Thai Restaurant was recommended to us by friend… those are always the best recommendations… and they were not wrong! Went to Mercy Thai for lunch. Got there around 1:30 for a later lunch but were cognizant of their closing at 2:30 for lunch. Parking was easy (both parallel and diagonal available outside the restaurant on either side). We were seated immediately. On the recommendations of other reviews, we had to try the Drunkin Noodles (chicken), and I also had to try the Drunkin Fried Rice (chicken). I can’t remember what the other member of my party had, but it certainly looked good as well (something with crushed peanuts in it). Had a sample platter of the appetizers. One thing to be prepared for when ordering is to know your “heat” level. They will ask you what you want your heat level to be, 1-10. I ordered a 3 for my Drunkin Fried Rice. Next time I’ll go for a 1 because I was definitely drinking my water. One of the other guests ordered a 3, and next time he would get a 2. Another guest ordered a 7, but next time, he would get a 10! So again, know your heat level. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and food at Mercy Thai and will be back to try more of Mercy Thai’s food selection. We didn’t have room for dessert, but they looked like some great desserts which we can’t wait to try. Highly recommend Mercy Thai for some great food. (Bonus: Mercy Thai is literally 200 yards away from the Kerry Bridge and the “foil man,” so even if you are on the Omaha side, it is an easy walk, great views, and one that is well worth it.

I placed an online order with Mercy Thai for the first time, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. My food was ready right when I arrived for pickup, and the portion sizes were excellent for the value—enough for me and my significant other to enjoy plenty of leftovers. The flavors were delicious, and now that I’ve had my first taste, I’m excited to be a little more adventurous and turn up the spice level on my next order. A great first experience, and I’ll definitely be back.

Mercy Thai’s Drunken Noodle and Drunken Rice entrees were so delicious we had them two nights in a row. Getting to the Mercy Thai was also very easy by car and even on foot. It’s located just a few blocks from Interstate I480, and we also enjoyed a leisurely walk to/from downtown Omaha via the very impressive Bob Kerrey Pedestrian bridge, which has beautiful views of Council Bluffs, the Missouri River, and Downtown Omaha’s waterfront. Mercy Thai is located in a very nice new area of Council Bluffs.

Mercy Thai always comes through. A hop and a skip from our home downtown. Ordered and it was ready in 12 minutes. Great pickup experience. Food was excellent. I had Drunken Noodle and the wife had Pad See Ew. Best noodle in town! Thank you!

Mercy Thai Restaurant offers a delicious and affordable Thai experience! We had a wonderful dinner, enjoying both the Pad Thai and Larb (with tofu, spice level 5/10 – perfect!). The appetizer sampler was a great way to try a variety of items, and we especially loved the fried egg rolls and So Moo Swa. With friendly, fast service and great prices, Mercy Thai is definitely worth a visit!

Never thought I would say my favorite thai restaurant is in Iowa but it is!
We stopped here during our cross-country road trip and it is very good. Clean establishment and food came super quick.
If you really like spicy food get the level 10. The 8 wasn’t spicy enough but still very good!

I’m so excited Council Bluffs finally has a Thai restaurant!! Our experience was wonderful. First and foremost, the establish was very clean and service was great. We had the Fresh Spring Rolls and regular egg rolls for appetizers. The Fresh Spring Rolls were full of vegetables and a few shrimp. The regular egg rolls were super fresh and delicious. For our entrees, we had the Red Curry and Drunken fried rice. The Red Curry was very flavorful and a little sweeter than I expected but very good and plentiful. 7/10 spice was not as hot as I was expecting. The drunken fried rice was traditional and hearty with a balanced variety of vegetables and fair amount of protein. All of food was delicious! Side note: their unsweetened ice tea is a Thai ice tea – doesn’t taste like the tea you are used to – still good just different. We are FULL and satisfied! Highly recommend!

Came in on a Tuesday afternoon. Pretty slow, May have missed the lunch rush. Got seated right away and after a few minutes we placed our order. The restaurant is spacious and open space. The food came out quickly, and it is flavorful. Two disappointment is the sticky rice is hard and the boat noodles didn’t come with coagulated blood chunk. Overall it isn’t bad.

Enjoyed their take on beef noodle soup. The greens were a different but good twist to go with the pho style broth and meatballs. The spring rolls were good, though a second serving of dipping sauce would be nice next time. I like that they provided dry condiments at the table to accompany the meal.
