The crispy eggplant was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked with great flavor and texture. And the s’mores martini? So good. The perfect sweet treat to top off the night.
I’ll definitely be back!
Enjoyed a wonderful meal and compliment the environment! Sat in a corner round table for a party of five catching up with friends and able to have conversation without background noise! Service was prompt and pleasant. The bread was a perfect start with oil and roasted garlic to dip.
Octopus is a challenge at some locations, but very well prepared and flavorful. The brussels app was almost a meal in of itself. Highly recommend the Ricotta gnocchi, pillow of pure joy in a short rib ragu. Looking forward to return to try more of menu!
I came here with my significant other to celebrate their birthday, expecting a great experience based on the reviews. My honest takeaway: the food was genuinely delicious—but unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.
Despite having a reservation for two, we were seated at what was easily the worst table in the restaurant: a tiny table an arm’s length from the server station. Throughout the entire meal, both staff and other guests repeatedly bumped into our chairs, making it uncomfortable and distracting.
Service was fast, but given how close we were seated to the server station, that felt like the bare minimum. More disappointing was the lack of warmth from our waitress. She was curt and impersonal, and we never felt welcomed. Because of the atmosphere and unfriendly service, we chose not to stay for additional drinks and went elsewhere.
Bottom line: Mercato Kitchen has excellent food, but if you’re looking for a pleasant, comfortable dining experience – especially for a special occasion – I strongly recommend choosing one of their other locations.
The restaurant is big and the rustic decor is impressive. The bar area seemed to be very busy.We asked to be seated away from the bar because we preferred a quiet area, where we could have a conversation without yelling.
Instead of ordering entrees, we ordered only appetizers. It was a good idea.
The charred Spanish octopus with chickpeas and potatoes was cooked to perfection. It was very tender. My husband loved the grilled lamb chop lollipops. The cauliflower was good and
the prosciutto di Parma platter was abundant and nicely presented.
The desserts we ordered – olive oil cake and cheesecake – were very tasty.
Our server, Jacklyn, was excellent. She was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We were not familiar with the menu and she answered our questions in a patient, polite manner.
We really liked this restaurant and plan to go there again as soon as we can.
