Went here for breakfast because my hotel did
not have enough staff to manage the crowd. I’m so glad! The atmosphere was lovely, a former bank. The waiter was super friendly and accommodating. I ordered the egg biscuit , espresso and orange juice. Absolutely delicious. Fresh squeezed juice, excellent coffee, and the biscuit melted in your mouth. The eggs were flavored nicely. I’d definitely return.

If, you’re a Foodie. Then, you must eat here!!! The cozy Atmosphere, Service, Food and Cocktails are top notch! Undoubtedly, “the BEST” Shrimp and Grits in the entire DMV (D.C.; Maryland; Virginia) and I’m a GRiT-oLOGiST . Also, the Chocolate Chip Cookies are so delightful. Everything is worthy. But, don’t take my word for it; Go experience this Gem for yourselves.

Stopped in on Valentine’s day night while waiting for an event, the atmosphere was nice and it was too loud. The chicken skewer was way better than I was expecting it to be and the blonde bartender (i didn’t manage to catch her name) made an amazing drink! I will definitely be returning and stay longer.

The good was good quality. My turkey sandwich was fresh roasted turkey and the chips were great! I did regret not getting the burger because it looked so good. My dad had it and said it was delicious. My mom really liked the pretzel bun on her ham sandwich. My only complaint would be that there are not many menu choices and I think more than half were vegetarian and/or salads. Overall we liked the rustic atmosphere. The food was good. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

We were roadtripping on 95 and needed a place to stop for snacks so we selected Foode and Mercantile. What a very pleasant surprise. After winding through a tree lined road boarding the river, we found the restaurant in quaint downtown Fredericksburg, VA. We each ordered bourbon based drinks, coffee, tea and Smoked Salmon, Quiche and a gingerbread scone! It was delicious! They quickly fixed what was a smaller than normal portion of salmon and kept coffee and water glasses full without asking. Very nice spot! Fresh cooked to order food with great service! It was a 4.7 experience. Visit and enjoy!

This place wins every time! Awesome servers on a busy Sunday, they rocked out without missing a beat. Food was delicious and love the variety of menu without it getting too overwhelming! I’ve come now twice for the weekend brunch service and this is a local favorite for me.

Ordered a fried chicken sandwich for the hubs and a salmon salad for myself traveling en route from Richmond to DC. Packaged very well, and so delicious! The salmon was well seasoned and caramelized and was a substantial piece separate from the salad for me to put on once I picked up. Also, trued the pimento toast….it was yummy, subtle on a warm, soft baguette.
