I usually come here on weekends and have always loved the tacos, which is why this experience was disappointing.
On 12/12/25 between about 6:50–7:30 pm, my husband and I ordered 4 shrimp tacos. Unfortunately, the quality was not what we are used to. The tortillas were very hard to bite into, and the shrimp did not taste fresh like they normally do. They were overly crunchy, to the point that it affected the overall taste.
The only fresh part of the tacos seemed to be the vegetables (tomatoes, onions, green peppers, etc.), which were good, but everything else fell short.
This experience has honestly changed my perspective because consistency is what made this place a favorite for us. I hope this was just an off night, as I’ve always enjoyed the food here in the past.

Gather is such a fun place, family and pet friendly! Mercado gets a lot of hate here on Google reviews and I don’t understand why!!!! Our bartender Jadon was AMAZING. We got a fried shrimp taco and a chicken tinga taco this time. Delicious. Cold mexican beers on tap and amazing margaritas. If you ever see this bartender working (pictured) please stop by, he’s the best part of this whole place.

Great area to visit with lots of variety. However the auto tip and horrible customer service make me not want to ever come back. Margarita was heavy on the lime. I shared disappointment with bartender, even explained that it “burned” Going down and she offered to add agave or soda water. I am a margarita girl so this was extremely disappointing. Not to mention the 2 ladies behind the counter are DRY and give no customer service. I’d recommend they’d look elsewhere, where they’d share positive energy.

The burrito bowls are REALLY good! Honestly as good as or better than that famous burrito chain… Oh, and be sure to ask Whitley to make you a classic daquiri! So so good!!

Terrible business practice of forced 18% gratuity and bad food. This is just pathetic and offensive at this point – this place shouldn’t be here. 9$ for unflavored, watered down queso. Went back and asked for a new batch, and just seems like cornstarch was added. Great service though.

Food was horrible, very poor quality. They also charge a mandatory 18% service charge on top of everything that you aren’t aware of until you’re paying. My bowl was almost $18. Chipotle would have been so much better.

I had the mexican bowl with chicken, very tasty and filling, I was only able to eat half of it. Chips and queso and Verde was very good. My only problem was the forced 18% gratuity. I usually tip even at counter service. This was counter service, should not have to tip or be forced to tip.

The Gather itself is always a fun atmosphere spot…however this place in particular is highway robbery….$32 for 2 Strawberry Daquris and a taco! A regular sized taco, Folks…. I asked why the bill was so high because it wasn’t matching what the total was with the prices on the board, and I was told That was the total with taxes and gratuity Added in! 18%, are you kidding me? First time and last time for me, I refuse to go to anywhere that has gratuity. Added in especially for the girl that just stood there, taking my order and handing me two strawberry decorates that a machine made and a taco that took thirty seconds to make… Good luck to you guys. But I won’t ever be there again

Food was delicious and fast! Drinks were amazing!! We sat at the window to eat and hang out and chatted with the bartender Whitley she was so friendly and helpful she made our visit even better , we will definitely be back!
