Merbè is a solid 4-star dining spot in Crans-Montana, especially if you enjoy well-executed grilled meats. The real highlight here is the Jasper-grilled selection — beautifully cooked with that unmistakable smoky char that brings out deep, rich flavours. A special shout-out goes to the secreto ibérico pork, which was tender, juicy, and full of natural sweetness, cooked just right over the grill.
The menu is focused and confident, with quality ingredients taking centre stage rather than unnecessary complexity. Service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, making it a great place for a casual yet satisfying meal after a day in the mountains.
While not every dish is unforgettable, the standout grilled meats alone make Merbè well worth a visit. A dependable choice in Crans-Montana if you’re craving excellent meat cooked over fire.

When my guests and student want to eat at the restaurant this the spot to be for quality and service.
Many thanks to the Greek waitress outside was brilliant and attentive to our need.

Unfortunately we didn’t get a place with many other people who required a table- even though no table was occupied. We weren’t even asked if we only wanted to drink or eat or that we have to leave in 15 Minutes as the tables are booked. Very rude staff and even though it looks beautiful I would NEVER RETURN

Incredibly rude and unfriendly – don’t go if you aren’t in the clique. Very rude staff, made point of ignoring you, letting you stand waiting for 20 minutes, then when we caught the waitresses attention we were told that it was reservation only. All the while people were walking in and taken care of immediately. We were told by another kind guest that the taller tables were for walk in customers. So eventually we managed to source a table. Ignored again for a further 20 minutes by which time we went up to the staff area to see if we could place an order as the waitresses were leaning on the wall enjoying the sun. We were told only cheese boards available, so we ordered the grande cheese board, with some fries as this was all that was available. Coke Zero at 5 CHF was flat and warm, served without ice and later we saw from a multipack 2 litre bottle, heinken beer was the smallest 200ml bottle you could physically purchase, the cheeseboard 35 CHF was served with 4 dried out thin slices of rye, we weren’t even given the honour of a knife and fork, or side plates. It was clear they didn’t want us there. Shame as this place has beautiful views and if we were welcomed and allowed to order from the regular menu we would have spent significantly more.

Food very good especially for being in Switzerland.
Lovely atmosphere, landscape and view.
Karma ( I hope I spell her name well) is extremely good and has a lot of patience with guests. Top class service with her despite the crowded period ( Christmas holidays).

Super expensive, they frowned when we decided not to order food, we got 3 hot chocoaltes for the kids, each of them tasted different, one was almost water, the other melted chocolate. How hard is it to make a hot chocolate? And at this price, how can you even think of messing up?
They have the view, they have the name, why would they care about a negative review, they’ll always be packed.
