Huge fan of Italian beef sandwiches and this one is as good as anything I’ve had on trips to Chicago. Using lean meat makes for less fatty bites but Menzas does not sacrifice flavor and tenderness. Sooo good!

Nestled in Tazewell, Tennessee, Menza’s Italian Beef and Bakery is a true culinary gem. Owned by the warm and welcoming Delia and Richard, this spot brings the authentic taste of Chicago right to East Tennessee. Every dish is crafted with care, from the freshly baked bread used in their Italian beef and meatball subs to the perfectly seasoned Chicago-style hotdogs. What sets Menza’s apart is not just the food, but also the genuine hospitality that makes every visit feel like coming home.
In addition to their classic Chicago offerings, Menza’s also delights with a few Filipino menu items, adding an exciting twist that’s both unique and delicious. If you’re missing the Windy City or simply seeking amazing, homemade food, Menza’s is a must-visit. Don’t miss out on the experience that Delia and Richard so lovingly provide!

I’m from Chicago originally and this beef, and sausage is the real thing. They have homemade baklava, just like in Chicago’s Greektown. Once you try it you’ll go back for more. Mmmmmmm good.

Menza’s Italian Beef & Bakery is absolutely fantastic! Their beef sandwiches are incredible – tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The pork adobo is another standout with such rich, delicious flavor. But the desserts are where they truly shine! The macarons are to die for (the Dubai chocolate and cream cheese are my favorites), and the beignets are warm, fluffy, and downright irresistible. Everything here feels like it’s made with care and passion. Highly recommend giving them a try – you won’t be disappointed!

We got 1 siopao 2 empanadas 6 lumpia and a an Italian beef sub. I’m not going to lie I was most excited to eat the lumpia. It’s a lot like an egg roll but with meat. It was hot and juicy but not too juicy. The sauce was perfect with it. Sweet and sour was tangy. The spicy vinegar will makey our tongue tingle and bring you back for more without over powering your mouth. Super yummy. The siopao took me by surprise. It was my first time eating it. It was doey but it definitely works with the meat flavor. The empanadas were like eating a fried pie with an amazing mixture of beef and seasoning. I had heard rumors about empanadas and they don’t disappoint. Try them for sure. The sandwich is a little messy but it’s supposed to be that way. The bread I’m confident that they make it at home. The juicyness reminded me of the sandwiches I had in school you dunked. Delicious beef and bell pepper pieces with cheese that holds together really well. Altogether if you like a change to your restaurant food try menzas italian beef and bakery you will definitely want more.
