MengGaoYang is one of my favorite restaurants! We’ve been frequenting it for years, and the service is consistently amazing and friendly. The food is incredibly delicious! Don’t miss out on the Cumin Lamb dish and spicy beef skewers. If you’re not a fan of red meat, the MaLa Crispy Chicken is a great alternative.

This place is awesome! Best Guo Bao Rou I’ve had in the U.S., no doubt. The BBQ is so good too — highly recommend the crispy chicken cartilage and crescent bones!

I love the food here! Delicious!! We always have the lamb, spicy beef, green beans and fried rice with egg. It’s fun to watch the meat spinning on the skewer at our table, it’s a different fun experience.

Traditional mongolian skewers cooked on a coal fire grill. Super friendly and hospitable staff. Make sure you get the spicy beef. Underrated hidden gem, one of my favorite spots.

This place is an absolute gem. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every single time. What really makes it special though is the owner, she is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and clearly puts so much care into the food and the experience. You can tell she truly loves what she does. It’s one of those local spots that deserves all the support because the quality and hospitality are always outstanding.
The lamb skewers, spacey, beef, skewers, green beans, egg fried rice>>>>!!

Absolutely delicious!! Well worth the price, plus the grill mechanism for the skewers was really fun to watch. I took my polycule here and we split the lamb and spicy beef skewers which we really enjoyed, plus a huge plate of sauteed green beans which were amazing. We didn’t really know what we were doing but the woman who was helping us was really nice and helped us out a lot.

Came for a late night snack for a party of 2 and were seated right away. There are plenty of tables and booths for various sized groups. There is a grill at the table and they bring out a basket of charcoal to grill the skewers on. There’s also a vent that you can pull down to help inhale the smoke and extinguish any flames from the charcoal. Each metal skewer rod has a star-shaped apparatus to help rotate on the automatic moving grill, though you may still need to alternate their positions to ensure even cooking.
We ordered 4 different types of skewers and all were very good! Definitely try their signature lamb skewer. If you like pork belly, I’d definitely recommend trying the pork intestine also.
Would definitely recommend trying this restaurant out if you’re craving good skewers! I’ll definitely return in the future!

We came here after a day at the beach hoping for some good Chinese skewers. We ordered 10 lamb skewers and 10 beef skewers, which were okay but quite oily. We also ordered the 鱼香肉丝 (pork dish). Unfortunately, that dish was very disappointing — some of the vegetables were still cold, and the pork tasted like it was heated up pre-packaged food. It was also extremely oily. The inside was quite cold that I had to ask the server to reheat it. Would NOT recommend this place.

I love the food here, the experience is so fun. But if you’re looking for some good service or ambience, you won’t get it here. This place gets 5 for the experience of barbequing your own food and eating while having a good conversation. Be sure to take someone whom you want to spend time with coz you will spend at least 2 hours here.

不值得,不好吃。
I ordered takeout skewers from this place and was really disappointed. The skewers tasted more like they were boiled than grilled—there was no smoky charcoal flavor at all, despite the server confirming they would be cooked over charcoal. The only noticeable taste came from the spicy seasoning sprinkled on top. This was definitely not the authentic Chinese-style barbecue I was expecting.
maybe because is take out? But I ordered take out from another Chinese barbecue place before and they tasted so much better.
FYI all these food is $60. Not worth it.
