Best green hot sauce!! (I poured it on everything). Made fresh daily.
They practice social distancing and CDC guidelines.
Red salsa should be replaced… I didnt like it but the green homemade hot sauce made up for it.
I had the chimi & hubby had the taco pizza. We shared a plate of nachos. (See pix)

Mendoza’s my favorite restaurant in Port Clinton and one my favorites anywhere. The owner makes the sauces from scratch and is a very nice woman. Her green hot sauce has great flavor not just heat.

I stopped in this evening and had some of the BEST Enchiladas I’ve had in a very long time! The beans and rice were delicious as well which is hard to find. Some places have one that’s good and not the other, but not this place. If you’re in the area, give them a shot, I think you’ll enjoy it.

When first walking in it doesn’t seem open from the way it looks on the outside. The porch/patio looks as it hasn’t been ever used (stacked furniture). You walk In and see a filthy kitchen with junk shoved in every crevice. The place is ran by a mom and son. The mom cooks while the son serves. We were told to sit anywhere while he was stressing about taking more orders. He was apparently busy with the few people that were in there. Which was about 7 people. He was grabbing cheese with his bare hands and I even witnessed him chuck a jalapeño off a taco before serving it. The health inspector should probably shut this place down I don’t know how they are still open with the way they run the place and how disgusting it is. No gloves. No hand washing. Touched everything bare handed, collecting money, taking orders, wiping sweat off, touching food. They should be shut down. Please save your money they also overcharge for everything.

This place is bad. . One bite of my meal was enough. Brown sauce turned my stomach. Cheese sauce was gross. Was like slop on a plate. When we walked in and I wondered about the last time the place was cleaned, we should have walked out. What a waste of 75 dollars. I let the staff know it wasn’t good as I paided and owner let me know she has been doing this for 53 years. I honestly felt bad that she was willing to argue that her food was quality and everyone has different tastes. From a family that eats out often, do not make the mistake. I only hope we don’t pay a price in a few hours for the few bites of so called food.

I absolutely love this place. A wonderful mother and son team cooking authentic food, with fresh ingredients all the time. I love spending time with my family here, try the avocado taco, beef nachos, quesadillas, kids meal hot dogs, and of course wet burritos for sure. Thanks for a great time always!
