I’ve tried the impossible Reuben sandwich and the taco salad both of which are really delicious. The sandwich was a tad bit too salty. Portion sizes are decent for a hungry person. They have a variety of vegetarian and gluten free options.
I don’t know if the meat is halal but would be good if it was!
Starting with our bev. The guava lemonade was really good. It tasted super fresh and you could even feel some guava seeds at the bottom of the drink. It was tart and refreshing and they filled our drink to the brim. The Chimichurri steak and bacon sandwich was also quality. The Chimichurri was oddly really sweet and the steak was a little tough, but the dish still tasted amazing with all of its elements( the bacon, the sauces, and the roll). The salad though I wasn’t able to try was also really good with little crunchies that were unique. It didn’t seem like anything special, but the ingredients all looked fresh and delicious. The tomato soup pasty was subpar. There was no wow factor it was just plain tomato soup. There didn’t seem to be any salt added so the soup was kind of sweet and sour which I didn’t enjoy however with some bread it tasted a lot better.
Overall, Mendocino Farms for its affordability(all of the dishes and drinks I described ended up being $45), pretty good tasting food, and great ambiance I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and hope to come again.
The tables were dirty. Me: “can I have some napkins so I can clean the table for us to sit and eat?” Lady behind the counter: Instead of cleaning the table which should have been done already, hands me napkins. ♀️
The bathroom was also pretty bad.
I hope the kitchen is cleaner.
Thankfully, General Manager Adam Rivera came to the rescue! He personally took my order the next morning and had everything prepared and ready to go within just three hours. His professionalism, responsiveness, and outstanding customer service completely turned the situation around—I went from stressed out to doing a happy dance!
On top of that, the food was fresh, delicious, and a huge hit with our team. A big thank you to Adam and Mendocino Farms team for going above and beyond—you truly saved the day!
The dressings on the salads can be on the saltier side so I may get the dressing on the side (instead of tossed in) the next time—it wasn’t dripping in dressing or anything, but the not-so-fried chicken salad was a bit on the saltier side in my opinion (too much BBQ sauce). The quinoa kale salad was perfect. The couscous is really good too. I also like their half sandwich and soup option which is a nice light lunch—that’s what I have ordered in the past at the Palo Alto location. I’m glad they are in town and plan to visit frequently for lunch!
I ordered the Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich, and it was excellent—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and layered with fresh, flavorful ingredients that made every bite satisfying without feeling heavy. You can really taste the difference in quality compared to your typical fast-casual spot.
The restaurant itself is bright and spacious, making it a comfortable place to sit down and relax after a workout. The staff was also genuinely warm and attentive, which added to the welcoming vibe and made the whole experience even better.
The only downside? The AC was blasting a little too aggressively—so much so that I found myself wishing I had a jacket indoors.
Overall, Mendocino Farms delivers on freshness, flavor, service, and atmosphere
