Cute sandwiche shop with plenty of sitting and light. The sandwiche itself was good but I wish it was warmer. They should warm everything for like 1 mi ute before its served rather than just warm the bread. Good beer and good service.

Okay listen I am OBSESSED with the sandwiches and lemonade here. They are sooooooo good. If I could I’d eat them everyday. In fact, I love Mendicino Farms so much that when my husband and I got married, we went straight from our wedding venue to Mendicino Farms for lunch. Now here’s where my four star review of service comes in. I am there in my full wedding dress and my husband is in his tux. It’s pretty clear we just got married and we’re starving. As we give our order, our cashier asks us if we just got married. I say yes and she gives me some of the most insane attitude for the situation possible. She gives me this disgusted expression and says, “and you chose to come HERE?” I politely said yes again but it was wildly uncomfortable. I just wanted my favorite sandwich on the best day of my life. Usually the service is great but man the judgement for getting a sandwich on my wedding day. So as long as you don’t show up on your wedding day you’re good. And buy a sandwich, you will likely become as obsessed as me.

Mendocino Farms has tasty, fresh, and most of all unique offerings. Their menu rotates seasonally: specializing in sandwiches, salads, soups, and deli sides, it’s a solid place to grab a quick bite in a casual atmosphere.
My biggest complaint is something that frankly others may enjoy, and I concede this. In the pursuit of California Cuisine, I feel like the premise has become more important than the food. The dishes will include some weirdly conceptualized “cheffy” ingredient for the sake of inclusion; your Cesar salad will have chia seeds, your sandwich will have almonds, your pasta salad will have raisins. It’s not bad, but sometimes more is not always better.
That aside, Mendocino Farms is a nice option for a quick bite that doesn’t make you feel heavy afterwards, a cafe where you can feel pretty good about the food they serve.

The food was good, the service was great, and the atmosphere was fine. However, the rating is low due to the poor price-to-portion ratio. The Chimichurri steak & bacon sandwich I used to buy has noticeably shrunk in size – likely by 30% – making it no longer worth the $18 price tag ($16 + tax). I’d be willing to pay about $8 for it if I were really craving it, but not at the current price. Many food businesses are shutting down due to poor pricing strategies. If demand is low and prices are raised, bankruptcy is almost inevitable. Good luck!

Seasonal salad – Pink Lady apples, goat cheese was fantastic, as was the not- so fried chicken sandwich. Quality ingredients, perfectly prepared. Dined in, place was spotless. Everyone we interacted with was personable, courteous and professional. Love this place.

The space very much had a farm feel to it, with very open seating and spaces. So as not to feel you are trapped in a cubicle.
The sandwiches and salads are innovative and vibrant. Bringing a very unique taste that feels fresh and healthy. You can also find beverages of your own design, even wine and alcohol if so desired.
I do not make it out to Westlake too often. So when I do, I tend to make this a habit to stop by. If you want fresh food at a decent price, Mendocino Farms is for you.
