SF bbq is pretty bad in general. 4505 isn’t terrible, but maybe it’s the ambience I like.

First time eating here. The food was very nice. Friendly staff. The homemade sauces are good although the food is already well seasoned. We got a taster plate that allows you to try 3 types of meat. The beef brisket was very soft and flavourful.

Awesome local barbecue spot! The new owner has returned its classic vibe, and the food is delicious. It really feels like a piece of Texas in San Francisco. I’ll be coming back!

Even better food than ever. Recently sold and now owned and run by Angel who for 10 years was the chef under the original owner, who was from Brooklyn. After the original owner died, it continued to operate under excellent managers and then was bought and run by a Korean couple. It closed briefly but has reopened and the food and service is better than ever. The brisket is as good as in Texas and the pork as in the Carolinas. Excellent sauces.

It’s back, and it’s delicious! The smoked fried chicken and the brisket are my favorite. Mac and cheese always hits the spot, and I do love the taste of the collard greens! Ribs, sausage, all nice.. Have yet to try a sandwich or burger but.. I’m happy this place is still here in the neighborhood!

Excellent BBQ, especially on Wednesdays when the Reuben special is available. Memphis holds a special place in my heart (and arteries) and, though I don’t live in the neighborhood anymore, I cherish every opportunity I get to visit.

Bob Kantor was a local BBQ legend and the current owner has done an excellent job carrying on his legacy in The City.

Delicious soul food and I loved their home made bbq sauce and hot sauce. They were even open on Thanksgiving evening, so they saved the day for us visiting over the holiday.

We ordered the 3 meat combo and the chicken, brisket and hot link were cooked and seasoned great. Mac and cheese, beans & potato salad were good too!

Staff were very nice and helpful as well even though they were super busy. A must visit spot if you’re in the area and need some quick comfort food. ❤️

The full team from the cook to the cashier were absolutely amazing with customer service. However, the food here is just absolutely awful. The sweet potatoes were hard and crunchy and nothing sweet about them. The mac and cheese makes a box of kraft mac and cheese seem like luxury. The fried smoked chicken was ok, not great.
This place use to be amazing. Its sad that my comfort place is now a no go for me.

New ownership since the previous Korean owners, so they are still working on getting their alcohol beverage beer/wine license back. However they finally took down the ugly plexiglass from COVID era and you can see the kitchen again, but maybe that has been that way I haven’t been in a while. The food was great! I’ve had more dry brisket from them in the past so they definitely didn’t downgrade. Nice and quiet atmosphere with some low roots country on in the background.

This place is crazy good considering I have never heard of it. Meats are on point, sides are perfect, sauces are complimentary, and the service was tremendous. All this and the prices are enough to not scare anyone away. We had a party of 9 and left with lots of leftovers and spent under $300. We went big to taste everything but less than $30 a head and all leaving full and the leftovers were delicious. Gotta eat here again. Only downfall is the small eating space inside but staff made it work for us. Wish the city would help cleanup the streets and backup the business owners to keep the outside as great as the business’s here and their owners. Shout out the man I think is the owner who put Disney music videos on the tv when we walked in with all the kids.

My brother and sister-in-law always knows the best places to eat. First time my sister and brother-in-law and I ate here. OMG we ordered the special where we would try everything, and it did not disappoint. The meats and cornbread muffin the best. Will be back soon. Thank you!
