Late night takeout on a cold night. Ordered the Texas BBQ Beef Brisket and came home to this (picture attached) In no way does this look like it was “sliced to order”. I almost thought I received pulled pork, but it was beef. Greatly disappointed.

Very good, mac and cheese was creamy and the brisket was tender with great flavor and no fat. Southern fried chicken was the best ever cooked perfect the collard greens are perfect. Service was excellent this is a family atmosphere restaurant. If your going to the attraction ” The great Jack O Lantern Blaze” it is minutes to the attraction. Don’t miss out on good food. Highly recommend it.

Grateful for a gluten-free menu! We ordered the road trip- meaty, moist brisket, marvelous, meaty & moist Memphis ribs & pulled pork. We loved the ribs & brisket; the pork was bit gamy. The sides of creamed spinach & Yukon mashed skins were also a hit. The Mrs, Who is not gluten-free, loved the Mac n Cheese & cornbread. The $4 plate charge is a bit steep for the bistro.

The place was packed, which by the storefront was surprising, but inside is comfy and updated. The menu mentioned asking about food allergies and our family has peanut and treenut ana. There was no issue with anything we ordered and there is a gluten free section on the menu. The shrimp was awesome, and my husband loved the jambalaya! My kids ate the ribs, beans and rice, sweet potato fries, and Mac n cheese. The Apple sauce was good too. Everyone got corn bread and I just wish I lived closer to this place. Service was slow, but the place was completely packed! I completely recommend this spot!

Oh hello BBQ! Great pulled pork and sliced brisket! We had to start with the corn fritters and honey mustard dipping sauce ♡! Too end our meal dessert was a must – fried cheesecake bites with bittersweet chocolate – seriously – who does that! They do and it’s a thing of beauty! The warm pecan pie is as good as mine! Great BBQ – but you decide. It gets my vote.

Closed. Was a great place, but the restaurant business is tough.
The barbecue is good, but the catfish dishes are sublime. This is a real chef owned restaurant where the customers are valued. There is a small bar with limited but well selected beers on tap. There is occasionally live music and comedy.

what a disappointment, we went there because of the great reviews. However, we had ordered 1/2 rack ribs (mine with wet sauce and 2 others dry rub). I had the baked beans and mac & cheese as my 2 sides. The ribs were just ok, they weren’t falling off the bones. I’ve made better ribs at home. The mac & cheese was junk, even my daughter wouldn’t touch it. The baked beans was good. The dry ribs were barely eatable even with the cold bbq sauce from the table.
Overall — we left very disappointed.

The only thing I can recommend beside the fried pickles and onion rings is :stay away! I tried their food three times, twice for take-out, the third and final time dine-in. The chicken and ribs each time for take out were tepid, dry and lacking any memorable seasoning. The cornbread was oddly sweet and sahara dry, the sweet potatoes were undercooked and still had a raw center to each slice. Our dine-in experience: sat and sat and sat before our order was taken, even though there was only 2 other couples in the place. Despite diners seated and eating, they started mopping the floor, so the smell of disinfectant wafted through the room, just enhancing our already “wonderful” experience. Fried oysters were flat wafer-like crisps, with no visible sign of an oyster, tho the dipping sauce was tasty. Again, the ribs were dry and flavorless, as was the brisket.. Even tho this place is in walking distance, we’ll walk on by and head to the diner instead.

This place was a pleasant surprise. Everything was great. Had the pulled pork, ribs, brisket, mac and cheese, onion rings, and baked beans. Not one of them were bad. Service was great and friendly. Good beer selection!

As with anything… You have to rate everything different. The service was great… definitely 5/5 stars… very friendly.
The food: the plates were pretty bland… I got a pulled pork sandwich. It came with fries and coleslaw. I give the food about 3/5. Something to color up the plates would help. The slaw was bland. No flavor.
The decor… I understand the whole southern New Orleans vibe… But with New Orleans being filthy… this place was a little dirty also… I hope that was not the intention. And if the dining room has BBQ sauce on the walls, food on the floors, grease on the tables, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. I did not get sick afterwards so I guess it was okay… But then again I have been to the Middle East and my stomach has been conditioned to handle bacteria.
