Had a great experience here! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The grilled meats were perfectly cooked, the chicken with sautéed vegetables was delicious, and the salad was crisp and refreshing. The pita bread and sauce were a great addition too. Everything tasted authentic and well prepared. Definitely a place I’d come back to again. Highly recommended!

Delicious food and incredible service. We held a private event downstairs and it was more magical than I could have imagined. The staff were so attentive and kind, and everyone loved the food! I’m vegetarian and there were plenty of options for me as well. I highly recommend anyone looking for a place to host an event to reach out to them! You won’t regret it. Thank you Remy, Memi, and all the staff for making our event so special!

Memi’s is my new favorite restaurant in Richmond! The food is fresh and delicious! Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options for me to enjoy, including heart- shaped falafel! Bonus – Memi’s now serves brunch. I highly recommend the pistachio late with oat milk. The staff and owners are super friendly and passionate about serving great quality Egyptian cuisine!

We attended a party in the room upstairs and had a fabulous time celebrating a milestone birthday. The atmosphere was perfect for mingling and the vibe was laid back with plenty of space for the guests. The food was outstanding and delicious with complex flavors. The staff and bartenders were also top notch keeping the party going. Kudos to all at Memi’s. It will be our go-to restaurant in RVA!

First time while visiting our daughter. Went for brunch and it was super yummy. Dips for appetizer. Humus was delicious with in house made pita. Gebna dip was amazing too.
Memi’s breakfast pictured. Simple but delicious. The shakshouka was out of this world. Didn’t leave any left. Howawashi sandwich also delish. All very reasonable around $15-16. Service was attentive as we were there early but they seemed to keep up with tables as they got busier.
Had tasty gin cocktail as well wanting to come back to try the others. Highly recommend. Support local!

Great food! I can tell whoever the chef is pours love into these dishes. I’ll definitely be a regular for brunch here!
I also tried their sibling restaurant “3 monkeys bar & grill” which is a different vibe, but very fun for those that enjoy the nightlife scene.

This is a hard review to write. I must preface the review with three of us, lived in the Middle East and have eaten extensively all over the Middle East, including Egypt if I don’t think of it as a Middle Eastern food, I thought the food was very tasty. It’s just not what we’re used to from how the preparation was to the taste to when they say it’s a tomato and cucumber salad. We expect mostly tomatoes and cucumbers. What we truly did love where the creative drinks with Middle East influence from old-fashioned with dates to a pomegranate drink that I had we decided if you don’t think about it or don’t know about Middle Eastern food you’d probably enjoy the place. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely, but don’t go there expecting traditional Middle Eastern food And it’s not like they’re just twisting it. It’s just I don’t know.

Firstly, the space has been redone beautifully since Memi’s took over from Barrio. The service was wonderful and our waitress was able to answer all of our questions and curiosity about the menu.
However, the food lacked the flavor and punch that I expected for an Egyptian spot. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t “wowing” either.
We ordered two NA cocktails ($9/each) which had a lot of flavor and great taste, but that’s about where it ended. We also ordered the Stuffed Eggplants appetizer ($13) and two bowls of the Lesan Asfour soup ($9/each). The eggplants were very mushy and overcooked with a vegan cheese that didn’t have any flavor. The soup was decent but again, meh. Our total came to about $53 with tax before tip for these items.
I hope Memi’s will take it up a notch in the future. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, you may love this place since their menu is mostly meatless. But if you’re looking for hearty and substantial meals with protein, this is probably not the spot for you. Even though they offer it as an add on, it comes on the side instead of part of the meal.
