I had a really good experience overall. The pork chop was cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The fish was also very good, fresh and seasoned just right. The collard greens were definitely a highlight for me — well-seasoned and delicious.
The only thing that didn’t quite hit for me was the corn on the cob. It just wasn’t as flavorful as the rest of the meal.
But overall, everything was good and I enjoyed the food. I would definitely come back and try more items on the menu!

Friendly people, serving great home-cooked food. Ready in a jiffy for takeaway. I would like to enjoy a sit-down meal there. Great atmosphere!

Came here for dinner on a Thursday. For under $18 (cash — it costs slightly more with credit card), I got:
– Fried swai
– 3 small sides (cornbread, green beans, corn on the cob)
– 1 large side (yellow rice with gravy)
– 1 slice sweet potato pie
This was very filling and there were leftovers! My favorite was the sweet potato pie and the fried fish — perfectly fried and seasoned! The space had indoor seating for up to 10 people, but all the food is packed to-go anyway. The two ladies running the restaurant were very friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Grabbed some breakfast here 1 morning. It was delicious. Prices are fair. Can’t say anything wrong about the place except the portions could have been a little bit more. I felt like it wasn’t enough eggs .

I went there to try their breakfast and I’m very happy I did. I had the cheese grits with eggs, bacon and a side of sausage. When I say cheese grits, I’m talking delicious cheese grits, not grits with a piece of cheese on top. My cousin came for a visit and we came to dine in for breakfast. She loved it and said everything was delicious. I would recommend it when you’re looking for some good back home soul food. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a soul food restaurant. They have food like oxtail, yellow and white rice, mac n cheese, pig feet, greens, turkey wings, green beans ect..the food is really good and the prices are really reasonable, like $15-35. The owner is a very pleasant lady to talk with. They give you a good amount of food also.

We were looking for a soul food restaurant on our way home from Miami and google led us to MeMa’s Kitchen. The reviews were good, so we stopped by. The place is very small and quaint and seemed to be pretty clean. We would have eaten there, but it was very warm inside, so we took it to go. The young lady who took our order was pleasant , and seemed to know most of the patrons by name, which is a good thing.
For my meal, I had the smothered pork chops, white rice and field peas. It was phenomenal! I also had a side of potato salad, which I didn’t care for at all. My boyfriend had the turkey wings, white rice, Mac and cheese, and field peas. He said that his was delicious as well. The food came out fast, was piping hot, and the portions were generous!
We had the banana pudding and classic pound cake, as well. Both desserts tasted pretty good, but I’m not sure about the texture of the banana pudding. I will probably try a different dessert on our next visit.
We will definitely make this one of our stops either on our way to or from Miami when we visit our son at the University in the near future. We were very pleasantly surprised!!!
