This place is phenomenal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy. Lots of seating options. Service is fantastic. And the food is delicious. My partner got the gator taco and I got the steak quesadilla. Just one taco will leave you with a full stomach for days. Very reasonable prices as well. Definitely will be coming here more often! (Don’t mind the bite in the taco we were too eager to try it!)

This is a nice little place in Ybor. They have a good selection of gluten-free options for Celiacs and seem knowledgeable about safe practices. If they sold only tacos, I would rate them 5 star. The tacos are interesting and very delicious. The chips and salsa are good. Unfortunately, their other dishes are lackluster. The tamales are very, very bland. I would never recommend them. They also offer an “enchilada stack” which, while interesting and not at all terrible, comes across as a good first try at the dish…it just isn’t right. The street corn? Don’t do it. It was honestly bad. All this considered, I recommend you go there and get the tacos because they are marvelous (although it would be nice to have the option of adding tomatoes because not everyone wants a full salsa)

A great spot a bit off the Main Street to have a quiet calm meal. Service is super friendly, there’s an art wall where customers can pin the art they make. No reservations – super caj taco joint. It’s homey – a honey converted to a restaurant. Great vibes. Would definitely return. The ice cream sandwich is huge! We split it into 4 and still was a lot.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant The portions were very big and everything was fresh and full of flavor. You definitely won’t leave hungry.
What really made the visit special was the service. Absolutely perfect and genuinely entertaining. You can tell they love what they do, and it creates a great, welcoming atmosphere.
And the homemade cheesecake was the perfect ending to the meal.. rich, delicious, and clearly made with care.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for great food, big portions, and a memorable, fun experience. We’d happily come back!

A couple blocks off of the main drag in Ybor. The chips and salsa were the bomb. Best tortilla chips ever. The Alaskan tacos are a little different but very good and very fresh. The beef and black bean bowl was excellent. Manager was wonderful and attentive as the chickens were getting aggressive (we ate outside) and jumped on our chips. They were very busy but managing well. Definitely worth a try. We’ll be back.

Best Tacos I ever had. The gator meat is definitely interesting. Very good quality fish and beef aswel. The chips and taco shells are super delicious! If you sit out front you can watch the trolley go by. It is in a nice and quiet part of town. The owner is super friendly and the service was quick. They do also have a loyalty punch card system so after 10 tacos you get one free!

Checked this lil gem out for lunch and I am now a gator taco addict! Out of this world delicious! I took home a steak chimichanga and it was amazing as well…huge portion! I don’t know what kind of sorcery went into making the salsa…I need a gallon of it! Lol

On the tip of a friend we took Saturday date night north to Yabor City and gave Mema’s Alaskan Tacos a shot. Scored a parking spot just steps away which was a nice added bonus although we did take a nice little walk to enjoy the amazing weather before bellying up to some terrific tacos.
We were immediately greeted by a cheerful and sincere hello which was a nice bonus.
Food came out quick, and was delicious.
Ash was 10/10 as a server and we were fortunate to come during a bit a quiet pocket and were able to enjoy a nice chat with her.
First time visit but certainly won’t be an our last. Big thanks to Ash the Taco Barista in the back for a great Saturday night!
