I’m from Florida and was looking for a place to eat Filipino dish. Found Mely’s Kainan and met Ate Maria. She was gracious, served some really outstanding food, and very welcoming. We had some great conversations and truly enjoyed our visit. Thank you soooo much. Food was so tasty and delicious.

Cute small takeaway spot! I stopped by on a whim and got the leche flan, fruit salad, and lumpias. They were all so good, but the flan was especially amazing. It’s a huge portion of flan and super rich, probably one of the best flans I’ve had. I’ll definitely be stopping by again to try out more desserts and meal items.

A foodie’s find of authentic home-cooking Filipino takeaway . Yes, it’s a TAKEAWAY counter, really NOT a sit-in eatery as there’s only a single high table .
It’s an unassuming no-frills takeaway, best at opening hour when the food is coming of the stovetop. Large portions, reasonably priced by 16- or 32-oz sizes.
Very short menu plastered on wall. Apparently, it changes based on availability of produce/meats.
I am partial to the yummy exotic Dinuguan (Blood Stew of pork), and the Caldereta (Pork Casserole in tomato sauce). Both made with lean cuts of pork and have contrasting flavor/texture .
There’s the Vegetable Stew in coconut milk, very rich BUT too heavy, and surprisingly seasoned wiith slivers of crispy pork belly (not for my palate however ).
Service is very good. The owner/cook is also the cashier ( what a spritely lady ).
It’s really a very small place that food is better taken away to one’s own private enjoyment.
I’m NOT a fan of plastic takeaway containers and eating flatware, albeit they kindly provide aluminum plates for picnics.

This little takeout counter is an absolute diamond in the rough. Some of the tastiest food I’ve eaten for miles. We got pork belly and stewed beef and an incredible sapin-sapin for incredibly cheap considering we walked out with PINTS of each.
Don’t sleep on this place, and pay attention when you’re driving up because it’s an unassuming storefront with great, great food waiting for you.

this place is authentic filipino counter serve take out restaurant. generous portions. extremely affordable. bordering on charity by the owners in the amount of food they give you. i paid $15 and got enough food to serve 2-3 persons. the place and food has character and authenticity. in some parts of the country you dont see mom and pop places anymore. i dont know what i got because i am not filipino but it was good food.

What an amazing hidden gem! Newly updated and the woman who prepared my food was soo pleasant. I ordered lumpia and it was soo flavorful, crunchy, and simply delicious. Take into consideration somethings are made to order so plan to place a order in time. Highly recommend getting extra sauce if you plan to share with others too. I will surely be back. I drove here from Pittsburgh for the lechón and lumpia. Lechón kawali is pork belly that’s deep fried so that the skin is super crispy. Lumpia is a sort of slender egg roll with a thin shell, stuffed with ground beef/pork and vegetables.
The food at Mely’s was delicious and I was super happy with it! They confirmed that these two dishes are safe for people with a peanut/tree nut allergy.
I recommend calling ahead to hear the menu and to place an order for take away (the space inside is small and not meant for dining in).
